The nowadays UNESCO-listed city during the Middle Ages profited from the Kutná Hora silver mines, which brought fame to the lands of the Bohemian Crown and Kutná Hora became the richest and most powerful town in Bohemia. At the turn of the 14th to 15th century, Kutná Hora became the seat of King Václav IV.
The Gothic St. James’ Church (1330) and the St. Barbara’s Cathedral (1388), devoted to the patroness of miners, are among the most important architectural monuments. Among other jewels is the former mint – The Vlašský dvůr (Italian Court) from the 13th century and several patrician houses. The building called Hrádek (Little Castle), which is part of the former municipal fortifications, houses a mining museum and the tour includes a visit to a former mediaeval mine.
Other worthwhile monuments are the former Latin school and the cloister church in a suburb called Sedlec, which houses a curious ossuary. Its interior is composed exclusively of human bones, dating mostly from the Thirty Years' War.
Cultural events: Musical programs, the Silver Mining Festival, the St. Wenceslas Winemaking Festival.

Well situated, clean and good value for money. The buffet breakfast was good and the restaurant offered good local cuisine for good value. It's just a good basic hotel if you're travelling on a budget. Whilst our room and everything in the hotel was spotlessly clean, the carpet was old and stained making our room and the hotel look grungier than it really is. |

The location of the hotel within the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was spacious and quite comfortable. Internet access worked well during our stay. We were able to walk comfortably to the shops and the attractions from the hotel. The food served in the hotel restaurant was above average and moderately priced. There were no tissues or toiletries, such as a nice sized bar of soap or shampoo. I'm glad I carry my own. |

A relaxed and pleasant atmosphere in a very comfortable hotel. The restaurant offers good food at very reasonable prices It is in the town centre but a long uphill walk from the Mesto station. There is a bus service which may be worth waiting for if you have much luggage, but no taxi stand |

The hotel is an ancient building with lots of character. The front desk was very helpful. My room was very clean. I had a delicious dinner in the restaurant one evening. Kutna Hora is gorgeous in the autumn. I arrived alone on a train at about 7 p.m. and the town was pitch dark, all the businesses apparently close before dark and the train station is closed and they only have radio taxis, so I couldn't get a taxi because I don't speak Czech and I didn't have a phone that worked there. The train station is a couple miles from the old town and it was a scary experience. Don't arrive after dark! |

Le cadre historique dans une ville malheureusement sur le retour, en dépit de deux cathédrales éblouissantes. Après les travaux de voirie, Kutna Hora devrait gagner en attrait. Le quartier manque d'âme (beaucoup de bâtiments abandonnés). Peut-être une situation provisoire, liées à d'importants travaux d'infrastructure. |

W restauracji sztućce made in IKEA Hotel 4*: W pokoju: brak klimatyzacji, nie ma mini baru, brak czajnika, poplamiona wykładzina na podłodze, twarde materace. W łazience: kosmetyki marnej jakości, papier toaletowy chyba najtańszy z dostępnych na rynku. Na korytarzu źle działające czujniki ruchu (gaśnie świało). Mała i ciasna winda (hotel nieprzyjazny dla osób niepełnosprawnych). Bufet śniadaniowy bardzo skromny. |

Vriendelijk, behulpzaam Engels-sprekend personeel. Goed ontbijt. Kamers hebben een authentieke uitstraling. Van een 4-sterrenhotel zou men meer luxe verwachten. De prijs voor een kamer is, zeker in vergelijking met andere hotels in gelijkwaardige steden in Tsjechië, vrij hoog. |

Huone oli korkea ja aika iso. Huoneessa oli kaksi sohvaakin, joten varmaan hyvä lapsiperheillekin. Kylpyhuoneessa ei ollut ollenkaan laskutilaa. Suihkukulmauksen lattiakaivo ei vetänyt, jolloin saippuavesi jäi pitkäksi aikaa seisomaan altaaseen. |

Het was er schoon en voldoende voor een paar dagen verblijf Eten is zeer smakeloos en overal internet is niet eenvoudig.In het restaurant is wireless internet, op de kamer krijg je een kabel voor het internet, maar functioneerde niet. Een niet veelzeggend hotel, voldoende voor een paar dagen, maar ga er zeker niet heen als het prive zou zijn. |
