Pension Kriva  

Room price too high for quality of accomodations. Not good value for money spent.

We have booked 2 non smoking rooms,when we checked in 1 room was smoking room.We have asked for non smoking room ,which was offered to us at additional charge of extra 400 crone because room was bigger,which we paid.Please clarify this for us and let me know.

Kriva's location is great! It is in the historic centre of Olomouc, and many of the tourist attractions, as well as beautiful parklands of the town are walking distance. The rooms are large, and so tidy. Furnishings are basic Ikea style, but works with the modern simplicity of the interior design. The staff are welcoming, friendly, professional, and very helpful. Wifi was free, and worked great. Breakfast was more than adequate.

Easy to find. Staff friendly and helpful. Accommodation modern and fairly new. Great breakfast in downstairs cafe.

No lift but staff did help with bags. Shower head located just above top of bath meaning that it had to be held to be used and was not easy. Pillows were lumpy and need to be replaced. Public parking is on the street and may not be close. Week days could be more of a problem.

The rooms were spacious and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was more than adequate.

Location in a charismatic part of the town. The pension was sympathetically renovated and for its location was quiet overnight.There were a range of cafes and restaurants within five minutes walk.

Only public parking and that is on a first come first served basis. The pension was very difficult to find but having found it the Kriva lived up to expectations.

The Pension is in a good position to visit the center.

There isn't any buffet for breakfast, you can choose among 6 different menù of middling quality.

It is in a lovely unsung university town, it is a remarkably high quality pension with attractively designed modern fittings and nice extra touches such as protection from any outside noise. Wide variety of breakfasts.

Parking is a bit slap dash but we ended up nearby.

Very good staff with excellent English skills. Staff was very helpful in many ways and was cooperative with all my requests. Location was only several blocks from the main part of town, yet was in a quiet area of town. Six choices were available for breakfast covering various foods (eggs, cereal, pancakes, ham,...) and was very good. I was partial to the pancakes with forest fruits. Coffee,tea, juice and milk were also served with breakfast. Room and bathroom were both roomy and very clean. WiFi was free and worked well. Whole facility was very energy efficient. I had a very nice stay for 2 nights.

Only minor drawback was that it's a bit far from the train station. I had to take a taxi for arrival and departure. But the fare was very reasonable at about $10.

The staff at Penzion Kriva were friendly and helpful. The location is in the center of town where it's a couple of blocks to upper and lower town square'S. The room was comfortable, and the czech breakfast was very good.

Pension Kriva is conveniently located at the edge of the old town. It's relatively quiet given it's location in the center of town. We walked to all the sites within a few minutes. The hotel is modern, with large rooms and large bathrooms. I especially liked that there's a small entry way to the room with a door to the bedroom. This insulates the room from normal hotel noise which was pretty minimal as there are only a few rooms. I'm a light sleeper and was not bothered by noise from other rooms or the hallway. Our room was attractive with plenf put our stuff. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great with cooked eggs. I had a mushroom omelet that was fluffy and delicious.

With the windows open, you can hear the traffic from the ring road at one end of the block and the noise from the cafe at the other. You can still hear these with the windows closed but it's muted enough to sleep and i'm a light sleeper. Something to consider if you stay in warm weather as there's no air conditioning and it would be uncomfortable to sleep with the windows closed. The free parking was not always available. We had to park in another area which had it not been the weekend would have been impractical as we would have had to load the meter every few hours. The window blinds are insufficient to block the morning light. We had to wear eye masks if we wanted to sleep past sunrise.

The Management appeared to be fraudulent! We left the pension after 1 night even thouh it was booked for two nights. The price agreed and confirmed via email was not the one we were asked to pay. We were cheated that is why we do not reccomend this pension. We could not pay in the evening (only in the morning). Paying by credit card costs additionally (no info on booking.com or web site. Prices on the website are lower that in the reality. The service awful, Management couldn`t deal with the complaints and asked us to change the hotel, what we did and had a great night in Pension Krauss in Litomyśl. If you want to be cheated and pay more than agreed I do recommend this Pension.

Nice staff, good breakfast, impecably clean rooms, quiet location few steps from the heart of the city, decent price: quite enough, isn't it?

Great reception and staff. location, wifi. Breakfast is "pick a number" menu based, but good. Room was big, clean, modern and quiet.

The hotel staff was excellent - super friendly and accommodating to all of our requests. The location is also terrific, just a few blocks from the main square with many of the town's sites, as well as the visitor's center. Location is also quiet, which was nice.

With the hotel options in Olomouc (at least those on Booking.com), there seems to be a big gap in pricing. Although Pension Kriva was perfect for our stay, we felt like the price to quality ratio was a bit off. We paid almost 25% less for accommodations that were much nicer in the bigger, more touristy city of Prague. Given that comparison, we felt like Kriva was a bit overpriced. But aside from that, we would recommend Pension Kriva.

Mela jsem to kousek od mista, kam jsem rano potřebovala jít.

V noci byla na pokoji zima, byla studena podlaha a nebyly k dispozici žádné přezuvky. V koupelně bylo k dispozici pouze mýdlo na ruce a šampon. Myslim si že ve 4hvezdickovem hotelu v takove cenove kategorii by mely byt sluzby o neco lepsi.

Příjemné, komorní prostředí, milý perosnál, příjemná a vkusná snídaně.

Pokoj nebyl označen jako kuřácký, přesto byl velmi pravděpodobně předchozími hosty jako kuřácký využíván. Doporučené parkovací místo s letákem Penziunu Krivá" nebylo smluvně ošetřeno jako neplacené, což vedlo k "botičce" a nutnosti jednání s Městskou policií - zákazník byl špatně informována o možnosti volného-bezplatného parkování. Naštěstí jednání Městské policie bylo velmi korektní.
