Owner friendly, trying to speak guest's language.
The owner is exceptionally friendly and has good coffee. It is a family run business, so don’t expect hotel feeling. If you are looking for a facility in a good location, for a very reasonable price, I would warmly recommend it.
Great localization with parking place in the back of pension. It's few steps from the city centre. Rooms are clean and bright. They look much better than in photos on booking. There is even a kitchen that you can make breakfast in. The WiFi was good. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He speaks many languages so there's no problem with comunication. Next time I woukd stay at the same place:) Plus the city is very nice with lovely centre and a lot of restaurants so it's great place to spend more that only one night.
Satysfying comfort, tidy room and bathroom. The owner was very OK. We got two single beds instead of one double (not a problem for us at all), so he gave us a discount and a box of chocolates! And last but not least - the location near the main square.
I loved the owner of the Pension - it is a very hospitable and friendly person. The location was also perfect. Very nice memory!
The owner, Eugene, will go out of his way to help you and speaks excellent English, German and Russian. The rooms are nice, simple and clean and the location is minutes from the castle.
Great place for people going from Poland to southern countries and want a rest before second part of the trip. Pleasant host speaking Polish and English and accommodation near to both: old town and the main road.
very nice and helpful host: he will offer you wine, coffe & tea, fruits, biscuits, etc. - which are not included in the price; nice village situated on a hill with a castle nearby comfortable appartment
no air condition on the last floor may be a problem on hot days
1) Loud children of Eastern European families traveling to the Adriatic and using this place as stopover. 2) Steep stairs.
The owner is really nice n willing to tell or give you everything u want or need. The best time was beer/wine tasting at owner's bar. N u must not missing the rabbit!
No air conditioningю
Great owner, very helpful. 1 minut walk to old town. I'm strongly reccomended
Location - city centre. Quiet and calm place. Clean and cosy room. Friendly staff.
The host is a really nice and helpful guy. View from the window - spectacular!
Easy to find, great location, a minute from the main square. Rooms were clean with good wifi and an in-room fridge if needed. We had access to a small kitchen on the ground floor and large very well stocked restaurant kitchen downstairs for self catering. Balcony was very sunny with lovely views of town and chateau.
Overall our interaction with the host was fine. However as there was no reception and based on previous reviews, we contacted the owner via phone well in advance of our arrival time and checked in with no hassle. However, we witnessed a family that was not so lucky and told us they had been waiting for 3 Hours to be checked in and that the host was not answering his phone. We were also offered by the host to be driven to Brno, however upon checking out he changed his mind, forcing us to work out the bus timetable at the last minute. I understand this was a friendly gesture, but I found it very inconvenient and slightly unprofessional coming from the host.
The host was very friendly and spoke many languages. It is nice place in nice town just next to Austria!
Good parking. Clean & pleasant rooms. Caring host....had to look for him to pay!! I was here last Nov & was pleased enough to come back. There is no breakfast. We provided our own & ate it on the terasse. Fridge in room. Dishes & utensils etc downstairs
Maybe some would find the stairs a problem. No lift.
+ Very central location + Cosy and home-felt atmosphere + Nice view from the window
Friendly staff, cozy place.
Internet connection available in reception/restaurant only.
Just great. It is a tiny, tiny guesthouse with comforts that fall into guesthouse or motel or even better than average hotel category but with a special touch. English is idiomatic and perfect. Deutsch wird gesprochen. Overall definitely recommended for adventurous and curious explorer, though it is not an alternative for a family motel if people just want to crash somewhere for one night and then move on. I'll be coming again. It's really good.
Parking lot, yes the house has own parking lot but the address for it is different from the street address for those who come on foot, parking lot is apparently on Postovni, and not Pavlovska. Otherwise no complaints.
A curious and enlightening experience and adequate comfort for the price range. I am unsure this is the best place for just overnight stay whilst traveling from somewhere to somewhere, say from St. Petersburg or the Baltics to the Alps, former Yugoslavia or Italy. It is certainly the best place for an curious explorer. Certain people could get an enormous amount of satisfaction and knowledge from this place, people who just need to stop over with kids will alas probably gain nothing. In all other respects this place is perfect.
just excellent, it is a private house with the owner or his friends letting in some paying guests. The facilities are better than in most Czech guesthouses but obviously not comparable to hotel standards. With prices ranging from 10 to 20 euros per person depending on the season as I checked (I got an excellent deal myself), this house is an unbeatable value in Mikulov. Refrigerator, free mineral water by asking, coffee and tea. May be not the best place to overnight on the way from somewhere to somewhere, but you want to explore countryside of lower Austria's adjacent Weinviertel and Moravia this is the place. The owner knows the landmarks and can be a guide himself. Russian, English, German spoken fluently. Five stars.
the sound insulation between the rooms is poor by expensive hotel standards though is on par with what one would expect in a Czech motel or so-called pension. People with allergies must beware of animals - there is a gregarious cat and a rabbit on the premises. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about.
Everything PERFECT, especially owner. The only place I didnt want to use WiFi - Owner's stories were much more interesting then Facebook !!!
