Hotel Vaka

friendly atmosphere, very clean

Very nice room, kitchenette, parking +wifi free of charge

Rooms were very new and pleasent. The first morning the hotel manager made a specific point of asking us if everything is ok. There is a mall right next to the hotel with a 24 hour Tesco(nicer than the big one in the center of town), a bowling alley, a food court and a Kaufland Supermarket nearby.

Location. If you have a car the location is perfect. The closest bus does not go to any place of interest. It is about a 10 minute walk, uphill, to the nearest tram which takes you to the center of town. On a nice day if you have time you can walk to the city center. It took me about an hour. I did enjoy the walk. I chose it due to the proximity to the vet school. Price should have been a bit cheaper due to distance from city center. Weird (but clean) sheets.

I stayed there for 4 nights during the fairs exhibition in a double room on the second floor. So room was nice equipped in new furniture and the kitchen corner with microwave. Flat tv set as well as wifi for free was a nice surprise. The bathroom was enough big. Free of charge car park is also one of Vaka's strengths.

Firs of all - Vaka present itself on a booking.com as a hotel but isn't. In fact It's a pension. The list of deficiencies includes items like the missing restaurant, very basic breakfast, room cleaning every second day, location in between a Tesco supermarket and a concrete plant. The noise of passing trucks could be heard since 5am. The elevator didn't work correctly, better go by stairs. The price compered to services is significantly too high.

Nice new built hotel some 5 minutes taxi ride from the centre of Brno. There is also a shopping centre and busstop just outside the hotel. Free Internet connection in the room. Resonably good breakfast, but no real kitchen/restaurant in the hotel. Free hotelparking.

Polite and freindly staff, helpfull in getting information on the local area and getting into and back from town.

Sehr schönes neuwertiges Hotel

Prostorný, čistý, poměr cena kvalita ok,

nelíbilo se mi, že mě ubytovali v pokoji ve kterém nešlo světlo v koupelně, když jsem na to upozornil recepční, tak nejdřív reagovala jako překvapeně, ale pak mi s vážnou tváří sdělila, že o tom ví, že se tam něco opravuje a že mám prostě smůlu, zaráží mě, že klidně bez jakéhokoliv upozornění prodají tento pokoj a ani klienty před tím o tom neinformují a čekají co se bude dít. Nedostal jsem ani omluvu a už vůbec nemohlo být ani řeči o případné slevě. Jelikož jsem v hotelu pobýval pouze jeden den a noc, nechci to dramatizovat, nicméně přístup hotelu (recepční) je přinejmenším nestandardní.

Krásný, nový a velice pohodlý.
