Score from 1809 reviews Very good
the location was perfect, out of the bustle of the city centre but a tram line 2 minutes away .the staff genuinely friendly and helpful.
room descriptions need to be more accurate
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the view from the terrace is oustanding
Staff were very friendly and helpful Good location. Close to town and tram line
A bath in our room would have been nice but this is just being very picky!
Loved everything about this hotel. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the view from the terrace over the old town fabulous. The afternoon teas in the customer lounge a lovely touch. Vey we comming atmosphere.
It was a bit of a struggle walking up the hill back to the hotel after a long day exploring the city. Not for the 'unfit'.
Friendly and helpful staff who couldn't have done more to provide a welcome break for us. Great facilities with the added bonus of a marvelous view of the city from the hotel's location. Well appointed room and a very comfortable bed. The guest lounge and afternoon tea is a great plus. I don't exaggerate when I say this was the best hotel stay we've had anywhere. Thank you all.
Anyone complaining about the fact they had to walk up and down a steep hill should really suck it up. There's a perfectly good tram stop across the square. We couldn't fault this hotel.
All the staff were very helpful, beyond whats expected! The food was also exceptional and the views from the hotel absolutly beautiful. We would definitely stay again.
The hotel was not only beautiful but also had the most welcoming and friendliest staff of any hotel that I have stayed in the world.
Having to leave.
We loved staying here at the Questenberk Hotel. It is part of an old monastery, so the floors are cool with thick walls. We loved the breathtaking views of the city and close walking to the castle. The breakfast room is lovely and the selections were plenty. On arrival, We were greeted with a welcome drink and tasty cucumber soup while the concierge, Miriam, graciously provided us with theater, music venues, tours, and dinner options. We stayed in one of their smaller rooms, but with the other hotel amenities, it was quite doable and the bath was modern. They also had complimentary fruit and tiny chocolate treats for us. We stayed in Sept 2014.
The distance from the main train station, but the hotel gave us detailed directions on which 2 subways and tram #22 to take stopped 1/2 block away. Took only about 30 minutes. The hotel does arrange shuttle pickup and drop offs, though.
The view from the hotel, the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff, the rooms were nice and clean, great breakfast.
I stayed at this hotel the last weekend in August and it exceeded my expectations. The hotel is clean, bright, and extremely comfortable especially considering how historic the building is. I stayed in a room on the top floor and I had amazing views of both the city and the Strahov monastery/ beer garden. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They spoke excellent English. My favorite part was the location of this hotel. It is located in a quiet and laid-back part of the city, away from the hoards of tourists on the Charles bridge and old town square, but still within close walking distance to Prague castle and all the main attractions. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Prague.
Great staff. Convenient location, away from crowds in Old Town. Easy access to tram.
Parking away from hotel.
The location of this hotel cannot be beat. The hotel restaurant is excellent with a view looking out over the city and Petrin Hill and Observation Tower. At night you can sit and enjoy the city all lit up. Simona was our server at the restaurant and she was incredible. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. There is a Tram Stop right near the hotel and easy walking distance to the Castle. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the Questenberk Hotel.
Staff were very pleasant and really helpful at all times. The view of the city from the terrace is absolutely stunning! The room was clean and beautifully presented. The hotel has a friendly atmosphere and is very welcoming. Had a brilliant time.
every thing, it was just perfect. loved the terrace looking over prague
You are trated royally at the Questenberk by the personal attention you receive. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. They go the extra mile for you, be it making you feel welcome upon late arrival, parking arrangements, giving you tips on what to see and do etc etc. The breakfast room was beautiful, the food selection was not only superb but also beautifully presented. Room was comfy and clean, but since this is a historical building, watch your step on the slight elevations on the floor. Highly recommend this lovely hotel. We sure will be back :-)
Atmosphere of the hotel and rooms. Service was outstanding and we felt pampered in the best possible way.
Staff were very pleasant and really helpful at all times. The view of the city from the terrace is absolutely stunning!
Nothing to dislike about this hotel.
Good location, close to the Castle.
I expected more facilities and better room for that price.
The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location is nice for walking all down hill to go through main attractions of site and is close to palace.
I suggest taking a taxi cap back to the hotel after a long day of walking around - its cheap and well worth avoiding a hike back up the long hill to the hotel.
Staff was delightful and always helpful and pleasant. It was a very unique old private palace that was immaculately maintained.
The views were wonderful. The staff were useful, although sometimes a little OTT in description-albeit some guests would be very grateful for this. The breakfast was pretty nice and were happy to cater your needs. Only a 10-15 minute walk to the bridge so closer than it says, albeit up quite a steep hill. Midday check out time also nice, no need to rush on that last day!
Doors were not particularly sound proof Can take time to gain access late at night as they lock the doors presumably for safety and therefore requires the warden being at reception when trying to get back in.
Staff lovely, hotel nice & good location
Parking was a nightmare, 20 euro a night and a km down the hill. Rude man at parking garage and continued to be grumpy when we left. Wifi was weak
Definitely a great place to stay during your Prague-visit. Far above the noise of the old city and the commercial souvenir shops you will find Questenberk; an oasis of calm, public transport (tram 22) within walking distance and a lovely terrace. The chef is of very large class and prepares the finest cuisine. The hotel has everything you, the pampered guest, would expect. Great beds, ample closet space and a good shower. Enjoy!!
I missed a bath in the bathroom and the curtains were not light proof. The latter led to a shorter sleep than planned... In itself not so bad because we needed extra time to explore Prague and its surroundings (do not forget Kutná Hora, a short trip by train).
Every thing is good, good location, good staff, good room!! Next time I'll select this hotel again.
We enjoyed the location and classic feel of this hotel, away from the noise and crowds. The staff are super attentive, maybe a bit more formal than we need but that is the style of their hospitality. Amazingly abundant breakfast, and perfectly adequate standard room, certainly not large but we spent very little time there. Easy access to a tram down the hill to the sights, or a simple walk if you enjoy that. Fantastic beer brewed right next door! All in all, a lovely stay for us.
