Very nice setting by the lake. Staff very friendly and professional. Good restaurant. Exceptionally clean hotel - basic but very functional.

On the first day, the washbasin flooded; on the third day, the glass from the shower broke in hundreds of pieces. The public transport only works in some hours. Breakfast was nothing special.

It is hard to find the hotel, particularly at night. It is situated on a hill above the road and there is no sign on the road where to turn when you come from the Brno direction. The wi-fi was so poor, that it didn't work in the room, only in the lobby.

It's overlooks the lake and on a summer's day swimming in the lake is a great way to spend the afternoon.

The lack of aircon for hot days. Our room was supposed to be lake view, but looked out on a wall.

The room we were allocated had views over the lake which was lovely. The room was very clean and spacious. Nice shower The terrace was nice in the evening. Meals were excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and answered any questions about the area, places to go and how to get there. Very friendly. Helpful young pleasant evening waiter. I will certainly stay there again.

Hotel Rakovec is completely new refurbished. Rooms are very nice and clean with TV.

Be careful about the hotel price. They offer rooms much more expensive than their regular price on booking.com. Then they mention "45% discount" and you get on the hotel basic rate. You think you booked room with special deal but it's just their ordinary price. And I think it isn't value for money. As it's close to water, get ready for "mosquito fight" or take any repellent with you :-)

The pool area is amazing ! It's in a quiet area close to water reservoir. The staff are really helpful and welcoming.

Nice hotel on hill overlooking lake. Lovely swimming pool and terrace. Weather was extremely hot during our stay and we would have appreciated airconditioning but we were supplied with a fan on our final night. Expensive to get to Brno by taxi (16 euros).

We spent there one night on our way back home from Poland. We choose it for the price and nice lake location. Our room was with the view what was excellent. Entrance is locked from 11 pm but you get the key so that's not the problem at all.

The lake looks great but not so much where hotel is located. It's only (poor) view you have from it if not walking around. My partner says the breakfast was poor, I wouldn't agree completely with him. I'd say it's not location you need if you want to visit and explore Brno. It takes not so short drive to the center.

Although we hadn't specifically requested lake-view rooms, our confirmation from booking.com stated that all the three rooms we booked were lake-view. In the end, only one room had a lake view and the other two had a view of a wall! The bedroom walls are very thin which meant we could hear evrything from the room next door.

The receptionist who at the same time was also a bartender in the evening and made breakfast in the morning was very kind and helpful. Beautiful view at the lake! Nice balcony, we would have definitely used it if the weather was better. Comfortable bed.

The hotel is divided into two parts, if you want to be in the main building, you might have to require it in advance because we didn't do it and were accomodated in the other part. The bathroom wasn't equipped with a hairdrier. There was no lamp in the room on neither side of the double bed, I found that quite unusual. Cleaning ladies tried to get inside 4 times the morning of out departure even though they knew we were still in the room. Don't expect the breakfast to be too rich, it's quite a small hotel located about 30 min from the city center - 10 min walk to the tram stop and 20 min by tram.

Double bed was actually like twin because there were two seperated materaces instead of one so there was a hole between them. The breakfast time is 7am-10am and buffet is left on table once at 7am so if you come later there may be no much left and also foood is no heated so even we came 7.30 all what supposted to be hot it was cold.
