Everything was brilliant - the large, clean bedroom, friendly and helpful staff, dining room, huge choice of breakfast, comfy bed, clean towels every day, close proximity of the hotel to all in the Old Town. The latter was particularly useful and the staff didn't mind us trailing in and out all day!
Can't think of a single thing - even the toilet paper was nice!!
TV did not work.
cleanliness facilities the bathroom was horribly smelly
Location couldn't have been better, perfect for the Old City attractions and close to major shopping malls. Breakfast was good value with plenty of choice to suit most taste. Room was basic but adequate and beds were comfortable. Cleaned daily. Nice marble tiles and fittings in shower room and good quality door security locks were reassuring. A good wall safe in room was handy. Overall very good value. Staff were friendly and receptionist spoke good English.
There was a strange smell in the apartment that was noticeable on first entry. I suspect it came from the 'wet floor' drain and was masked by cleaning fluids but it was there all through the stay. We kept the door shut for the duration of our stay. The room furniture and decor was poor and if modernised, would make this a super place to stay (if the smell was addressed). I would go back in the hope of a better room next time (more in keeping with the images on the Booking.com pages). A small concern was that the evening doorman gave our key from behind reception without asking our names or ID. We kept them with us for the remainder of the trip.
The building had a very good location and the building was vey nice. Beautiful bathroom....It is pity that the rest was not
The service was poor . We did not have a light bulb in one of the night table lamps are we stayed 4 nights and never replace them. The concierge was rude and difficult...did not listen to any of our questions .....the decor was cheap ..a couch in the extra room was filthy ....breakfast was basic and the quality poor
We had an apartment but had only expected a room. It was clean, comfortable and altogether great!
Breakfasts were good but as a vegetarian would have liked more hot choices - same 3 options every day - scrambled egg, sausages and bacon. Meat eaters would probably prefer eggs cooked differently too.
roof top terrace
no or low hot water in the shower
When we checked in they were full and they gave us another suite, much bigger than we've booked. There was a terrace and it was two level apartment. The receptionist was very friendly. Breakfast was awesome with hot and cold dishes, fruits and deserts. Location is amazing. They have a lift.
Wifi was slow. The phone in aparrtment had an alarm clock set at 00-00 and it was a bad surprise waking up due to horrible sound.
The hotel is just in old town and five mins to old square. The room has nice decoration and very confortable.
The lobby is too small. The price is expensive.
Breakfast was very good Location was excellent staff very friendly --Roy was very nice.
Rooms needing up dating , floors, television storage area for clothes
We loved the location and the staff were very helpful. The room was large, clean and comfortable.
The position of the hotel is one of the best. The breakfast was quite good, the staff are all very helpful and the hotel is very very clean, the terrace we had in our room was super and the kitchenette was very usefull.i will reccommend this hotel to all my friends. We spend one week here in Prague and we enjoyed every minute of the day.Restaurants are expensive but you can find cheaper ones, but the atmosphere in the old city is pricless!!!!!!!
The location of this hotel could not be better, 2 minute walk from both the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, 5 minutes from Charles Bridge. I have been to Prague many times and this hotel was a traditional Czech hotel, comfortable and clean with a traditional Czech breakfast, lots to chose from! And finally the staff were wonderful, especially Malan who assisted when we needed to change room. Our room was on a split level with a balcony (just like the 1st room) overlooking all the sights to see in Prague! Beautiful day and night and worth the stay for this view.
The hotel was in 2 parts; the new renovated part where we stayed and the other part where we were 1st placed was undergoing some serious renovation work (something you did not advertise)! As we were travelling with our child, I didn't feel safe staying in this part, this is not a negative as such as the room was wonderful on 2 floors with a balcony overlooking the Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church and Prague Castle.
It's location, very central just around corner from Old town square,
Trying to find our way to hotel in our car, impossible as we had to drive into pedestrian area. Also trying to find sister hotel where we could park the car. We could not find it in the car as one way streets and crucial road was closed due to roadworks. We parked at theatre car park.
The hotel is placed centrally.
The cleanliness need improvement. Severe misinformation regarding prices for elongated stay and controversies regarding prices. Management was contacted and showed, but very resistible to common sense.
Uncomfortable twin beds (very squashy mattress)
Noisy, average interior, same breakfast menu every day for 4 days,
We were really shocked with staff of the hotel (at reception). My wife has forgotten the key in the door while checking out. After several unsuccesful attempts to open it, we were informed that we need to pay 20 euros. While checking in nobody informed us about this issue and we were rather bewildered by this request.
Size of our room was amazing. About 30ft by 14ft. Some nice old furniture, a writing bureau, about 1900's and a barley twist gate leg table in the room. Take out bathroom size of 12ft by 7ft. Basin was huge, a bit o.t.t. Also had a bidet. Bathroom very clean, looked like it was plumbed for washing machine as well. We had a small kitchen area with sink, fridge, wall and base units plus two electric hotplates although we did not try these. Dual aspect windows in far corner of room although windows both had two sets of curtains fitted. The view was into a not very attractive courtyard and other windows facing you and so the curtains nearest the windows while permitting daylight to enter the room, blocked the view out unless you did some curtain twitching. This was true of the stair well behind the lift also. The windows in both cases had old metal frames on the outside with better wooden frames about 6 inches inside them. looking around the city, I think this is quite common. Lift was modern but small. Fast when you were in it but sometimes had to wait a while as it whizzed past you to other floors. The breakfast room is a very attractive area with very comfortable but heavy upholstered chairs. There are toilets off the breakfast room which are beautifully tiled and very clean. This hotel is clearly a work in progress (drilling nearby during breakfast!) and looks very promising, almost there. We would definitely use this hotel again.
Unfortunately, after the first jaw dropping "wow", you notice the bad smell of drains in the bathroom. I saw that the bidet was leaking from the waste water pipe and it was making it's way around the edge of the bathroom. Also there was no key for the wall safe. I went down to reception and explained the leak and lack of safe key. He looked on the key board and it turns out a previous visitor must have taken the key home or lost it. I was not happy about the lack of a safe to use for our money, passports and electronic tablets/phones. He was adamant that anything we left in the room was quite safe. He then came up with me to look at the leak. Without hesitation he was down on his knees and wriggled the offending pipe and it duly stopped leaking. I thought this might have been the cause of the smell and so we left it at that. We did ask for two extra pillows and he returned with those immediately. I guess that with the extractor on and after a couple of minutes in the bathroom you don't notice the smell, but in the morning when we went in, it was as strong as ever. I again went down to reception and reported it to the replacement receptionist. He did not offer an alternative room although I also told him about the lack of a safe key. I should have asked about changing rooms so I guess I am partly to blame. Maybe there weren't any available. Lesson learned for future hols. No tea or coffee available in room. Although there was some nice furniture, the wardrobe and bedside cabinets were the cheapest looking white melamine you could get. Would like to see the old paintings (1950's) go and be replaced with colour and black and white photos of Prague. Lots of talented photographers on the Charles Bridge with beautiful atmospheric shots of the city for sale. Old and new can blend when done with a little care.
Location hotel style comfort
noise of water or heat system during the night, may have been beside our room
Superb location with underground parking. Very nice and helpful welcoming manager and lady manager when I left. The breakfast was good as was the WI-FI. One of the cleaners was kind enough to do some cloths washing, I very much appreciated that. I would go back because of the above.
The rooms are a little tired, with old furniture and very dim light bulbs. The bathroom was fine, the lounge and bedroom could do with a make over. The breakfast staff could do with trying to smile.
The main advantage of this hotel is terrace rooms, and its location. If you are looking for romantic place, at the very center of Prague, to get few days (especially evenings) observe and feel the city from the roof height - Leon D'Oro for you. WRT personnel, only one lady who worked on reception was really helpful and did her job as its needed.
Other personnel was completely useless, they could not help with some living troubles, looks like they were there only to hold a keys, luggage and sell the tours. Hotel requires urgent renovation for some of its rooms (not for terrace ones) doors were not closing properly, parquet on the floor damaged and looks dirty, smell of the furniture and all around shows that it is old enough and bit untidy. Breakfast was okay, but not more. Hotel does not have own restaurant, all meals were delivered from somewhere else.
