Excellent service and very helpful staff. The front desk staff were available 24 hours and spoke very good english. The hotel is right across the river opposite the "Dancing Building" one of the architectural landmarks of Prague. Nearest tram station is about a 5-6 minute across the bridge. Nearest metro station (Andel or Karlovy Namesti) is a bit further away about 10-12 min walk from the hotel. The breakfast spread was a bit overpriced at EUR 15.

We booked very early so got a great room rate of 53 Euros per night for a double room without breakfast. The breakfast was excellent with a huge range of fresh fruit, pastries, meats, breads, jams as well as the typical czech cooked items. The room was smallish by Czech standards but had everything we needed. It was spotless, so clean. The bed was very comfortable it was difficult sometimes to drag myself out of it.Bathroom was clean and had large over bath shower. All the staff were attentive and courteous. Everyone said good morning and they just couldn't do enough for us.The desk staff were happy to book restaurants and taxis for us even providing maps and recommendations. There is a tram stop nearby and large shopping Mall just 5 mins walk away. These are really small inconveniences but need to be mentioned. The breakfast is expensive if not bought as part of deal (15 euros per person per day) There isn't really anywhere to sit and relax unless you go into the small bar. The bathroom door did not have a lock and was made of frosted glass, this didn't appeal to my need for toileting privacy!!! The hotel is about a 20 min walk from Charles Bridge

We stayed as a couple without the kids !! and would say it's a fab couples place ,a little out of the way from the main square and shopping ,but when you are on your own with time to spare it's no problem and you soon realise there is lots to do close by with some great places to eat Olympia is just a short walk away ( a local high class resturant ) with very reasonable prices and the Savoy is right opposite ,again well worth a visit. The hotel it's self is very clean and affordable with great staff and has a modern comfortable feel about it ,you woild be hard pressed to be critical about much . If you wanted to be critical ( and we can all find fault ) it would be the bathroom is a little compact and maybe breakfast is a bit pricey ,but don't let that be a problem to you .It is well worth a visit, we booked October 2011 for an April2012 stay and got a great deal. Thanks . Tim and Debbie. Uk

I liked how the staff were all very friendly, they gave us a rundown of th out town on a map when we arrived. The rooms were made up very nicely. That there was no wifi in the rooms - most people these days travel with phones with wifi capability rather than laptops.

I had the most enjoyable long weekend at Mamaison Hotel celebrating my 50th Birthday. I cannot say anything negative about the hotel. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable, the staff were professional, helpful and friendly. I would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Prague and would definately return. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable, the staff were professional, helpful and friendly. I would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Prague and would definately return. There were 10 of us staying at the hotel and another 7 friends staying at another hotel. The staff at Mamaisson were also very helpful to our friends that were not guests at the hotel.

The hotel is ideally situated for those who like some walking into the City Centre and the walk itself is a delight in a residential, river setting. Its proximity to the river is fantastic with beautiful views. It has good access to transport facilities - trams, buses and metro - and shopping facilities are within walking distance. The concierge staff are very friendly and welcoming and eager to help. Our trip was a birthday celebration and we were very pleasantly surprised to see a lovely card + wine in the room on arrival. These small touches make a big difference!

Excellent location - close to the city but not right in the middle. Very friendly, helpful and positive attitude by all the staff. Good organisation E.G. emailing me beforehand to check any tranfer or room requests. Water came hot or warm out of the cold tap.

The entire stay at the Mamaison was without a doubt excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is just far enough out of the main hustle/bustle of the town centre but still only a 5-10 minute walk to the State Theatre. The room was lovely with a view of the river, we would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to visit Prague.

I work for in a senior role for a large international bank. I had a very unusual experience which Im sure is not the norm for Malamaison, however the way they dealt with my issues is testament to what a professional hotel they are. On arriving at the hotel the A/C in our room was not working. I called reception and within 60 seconds an engineer knocked at the door. After establishing they could not fix the A/C we were upgraded to a Junior Suite. Within 5 minutes of being in the Junior Suite my wife had a shower and to our astonishment the shower did not work. I was very angry at this point and called reception again. We were promptly upgraded again to one of their finest suites with incredible views of Prague. The manager apologised and I accepted the apology. The next day after returning from a day sightseeing, I found an apology card, bottle of wine, and fruit basket waiting in our new suite. Its touches like this that really rescue a customer relationship and we had a wonderful few days at the hotel. Highly recommended. I didnt like being moved around rooms however they got it right in the end, apologised, and gave the wow factor.

“I cannot praise this hotel enough. The service is the best we have ever received. The trip was to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday & the manager of the hotel was superb. He made the weekend a very special event for us & provided fantastic service, as did all of the staff. The location is perfect, restaurant superb, rooms absolutely lovely. We loved Prague and will definitely be returning, and staying at the Jalta.” Sandra, Middleton, Manchester |
