All guests at Vintage Design Hotel Sax enjoy a free afternoon tea with Czech pastry specialities, either indoors or on the terrace. The Sax Hotel features a DVD library of over 5000 titles, from which guests can rent a DVD at a surcharge. The spa area of the Design Hotel Sax comprises a hot tub, a fitness room and a sauna. Massages will be provided on request. All these facilities are available at an additional payment. The interiors of the hotel will transfer you to the 1950s, 60s, or 70s. I was blown away by the design of the hotel,by fair the most amazing I have stayed in.The hotel staff were very nice with excellent English.The location was excellent, near excellent bars and restaurants without paying over the top. 10 min walk from the train station, 5 minute walk from Charles bridge.All in all I had a fantastic first visit to Prague and will definitely be staying at hotel sax again I didn't like the fact we had to pay quite a lot for the sauna and jacuzzi. This was not stated on hotel info when it came to booking the hotel but it wasnt a huge issue as I never had time to use the jacuzzi.

The vintage design of the hotel was quaint. The breakfasts were good. Bedroom was small and even though it had double glazing the noise from outside was very loud especially the traffic on the cobbled roads. There was no tea making facilities in the room.

Great location for many major sites. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Wonderful complimentary breakfast (all you can eat & great variety) & afternoon tea. Hotel has a truly one of a kind character- really fun art deco throughout. Free wi-fi & lap top in each room. We were really with our stay there & would definitely stay there again! Nothing bad to say about our time there.

Location was great. Afternoon snacks were absolutely wonderful after a day of walking in the city! The staff was very helpful. I especially appreciated the common room that provided free access to a printer. If in Prague, you should give this small butique hotel a try!

Service was very good. The hotel was extremely clean. Option of a cooked breakfast was nice as was afternoon tea. The thermostat in the room was not working correctly and it was extremely hot for sleeping.

Novel hotel decorated with design icons from the 60's and 70'S. Rooms are large and comfortable. Excellent breakfast and free beverages and cakes in the afternoon. Staff helpful and friendly and good limoservice to airport. Location in the embassy district was quite with good bars and restaurants nearby. Close to Castle and Cathederal. Some issues with bathroom cleaning and non-functioning sink.

Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is large and colorfully designed, with an excellent bathroom. The wireless is free. The hotel is very well located and walking distance from Prague Castle. The breakfast is included and very good.

Great location, good sized room, good selection of breakfast. The decor is funky and modern and makes a nice change from the standard hotel rooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend although street noise was a real concern We upgraded to the bigger room as it advertised 'superb views of the old town from this room'. In fact we looked directly at a brick wall. This was very disappointing and a waste of money upgrading. Also as our room faced the street there was a lot of early morning noise of garbage trucks and the like which constantly woke up. There is a charge of 10 euros to use the gym yet there was no air-conditioning in the gym which made it very uncomfortable. The location of the shower head is awkward and makes the shower hard to use.

Excellent location. At the feet of Praga Castle, close to the city center, yet in a corner that is quiet. The staff was helpful and kind. The design based on the 60 and 70 (not my favourite decades) adds color and removes the gloomy air that is present in many hotels. Very good and varied breakfast. Even in the selection of breads, cheeses, fruits, etc. and in their arrangement you see a demonstration of good taste and good will.

everything from service, to food, to location and cleanliness. Stayed in 6 other similarly rated hotels during our Europe Trip and this was by far the best. Could not fault a thing.. this is not something I'd usually say!

I liked the decor, cleanliness, courtesy of the staff, and a good location. The beds in our room had very hard mattresses, I think that they were worn out. Also, the bedside lamps were not appropriate for reading in bed.
