They provided a very useful umbrella and were ready to be flexible with check out time.
The colour of tiles in the bathroom, quality of shower facilities in general. Lack of a wall socket anywhere close to the mirror
Location Staff PArking
Slightly tired look
Friendly reception, speak english, willingness to help the guests, great location
Old style hotel, a bit back in time. Sober style. Carpet in the rooms is up to renewal. Wifi rather slow.
The water is great, very worm, makes you not wanting to stop bathing. Breakfast is very nice.
The hotel and all the facilities are very old, doesn't give you a good feeling. There were ants in the bathroom.
Easy access to city centre, tram system etc. Breakfast different but perfectly fine for what we wanted.
Only real downside was there was no air con which with the warm weather meant leaving windows open with early awakenings from street noise from passing trams etc. Just as well we were up early every morning to be getting off to Moto GP :-).
Staff and location very good
Would need a face lift to keep up
Location is very good. Close to the Spilberk Castle and to city centre and old town.
The hotel Slavia is not 4* hotel. The equipment is so old I can say almost antique but not in a good way. Water tap was leaking out.. a lot. Breakfast was average with blend coffee.
great location, friendly staff
Time machine back to the 80s which adds to the charm of the hotel. Breakfast was good and lovely girl at reception who spoke French and was very helpful
The tv is a bit too 80s for me
Location, the building. One member of staff only.
Terrible breakfast - don't go!! Rude member of staff (female with grey roots and glasses), old decor in need of refurb. Very old and small tv, very thin and rough towels.
Spacious bedroom, nice view from the room, good location
Breakfast was poor for 4* standards Accommodation although clean was very dated Fridge didn't work Mini bar was not re-stocked even after requesting this 4 times Glasses were not replaced in the room after requesting this 4 times On departing after we confirmed what had been used from the mini bar they still overcharged us for items not consumed and were refusing to give us a refund until we made the housekeeper return to our room to check the stock in the minibar. Then reluctantly they refunded the overcharge. Hotel doesn't have a separate lounge bar. Reception staff speak poor English and we found communicating extremely difficult. We are well travelled within the Czech Republic having been visiting there 2-3 times a year for 17 years.
Its near the central
Its very old ,wifi is not working good . Check out 10:30 very erly
Hotel is in the centre of the city. Has really good, big n clean rooms.
The location and the very pleasant and helpful staff.
The breakfast was not to the standard of any other 4 star hotels we use. Main entrance should always check that everything in the room is in good working order. Many things did not work in our room.
Very obliging staff, excellent location near all the main attractions in the city. Attractive (if a little old-fashioned), spacious and comfortable bedroom with view of the castle. Private use of sauna included in price. I had one meal in the restaurant and it was the best meal I had during my one week stay in Bratislava and Brno. Thoroughly recommended.
Spacious, well located, helpful personnel...
You feel like in a time machine:-) immediately back in the early eighties -- the recent renovation of the hotel was in 1983 as they claim in the hotel flyer:-)...the style, architecture and furniture, the whole spirit of the hotel reminds you just from the entrance already of those old grey times under the communist leadership...ideal for lovers of those times:-) Otherwise a bit outdated...
Would need some renovations and good shower
Good location, nice and spacious room
Location is perfect, it is in old town, but still it is very close to all public transports, so you can reach almost every part of city within 20-25 minutes.
That the room was cleaned up every day even if it wasnt asked.
Breakfast was decent Location was excellent Big rooms/ plenty of space Comfortable Room and beds Ample Powerpoints Good Shower
Wifi didnt work in our room as stated Hotel is a bit dated Tiny CRT TV (not that we watched it) Map supplied by hotel was printed google map (no offical maps available)
Everything was excellent except for below.
I found two empty red bull cabs in the safe - but minor, just means the room wasn't thoroughly cleaned.
Friendly staff, well-located, good breakfast.
Furnishings are a bit worn.
staff is great; location is good
4 stars is a bit too many i guess but overall a nice stay
