We have stayed on hotels around the world but have found very few to compare with the Augustine Rooms staff and location superb
There was nothing to dislike apart from not a long enough stay
Very attentive staff, prime location
The rooms are soundproof, but you still get some trembling from the trams outside
One of the best hotels I stayed at.
Location, quietness. Facilities are good too.
Staff are highy proffesional and excellent high standard cooking ! Loved the place .....
An outstanding structure, beautyful aet up and historic relevance, tastefully renovated with an elegant interior design. Definitely a top notch establishment..
The prices are steep, and sometimes the service could be a touch more relaxed..
The location was fantastic. The room is very nice and comfortable with a style. The shower is amazing...probably the best as we stayed. The people there especially the conceiage is very good.
The 1st night tv is not working.
One the the top hotels I have experience in 40 years of travel. The best staff, wonderful property and beautiful surroundings. Ten on ten
Great position, very comfortable bed and good soft pillows. Clean, new, modern but in an old building ( monastery), tasty food.
Toiletries are not so good, and they have an unpleasant smell, better you bring your own. Paying for internet it's ridiculous in this type of hotel and way to expensive!
Location, service, great warm people. Very helpful Concierge who was over the top wonderful!
I would like to thank each and everyone @ The Augustine for making my trip so unforgettable .. Def my best stay till date..
We loved the friendliness of all the staff and their professionalism, it is obvious that they all take pride in doing their job well. We had stayed in Prague before, in the old town or down be Wenceslas Square and much preferred the Mala Strana area as was less touristy. Hotel itself was gorgeous, bar food excellent as was Elegantes, the hotel restaurant. But it is the staff who make this hotel the great place it is.
Superb Hotel in an excellent position, certainly considered one if not the best Hotel in Prague. Excellent facilities and service second to none. Very clean and tidy. Spa facilities very relaxing. Hotel located on the reliable tram and bus routes.
Only one point, whilst the Hotel is spacious and well located our room with its double glazed windows on the third floor was alongside the tram route and thus we could hear the 'distant' trams and feel the vibrations as they pasted. I understand they do have other rooms and a great number of suites which would not be affected by the trams. So something to consider.
Excellent service from staff
Some facilities in the rooms need improvements.
It's a very beautiful hotel. You feel like you have been swept away to a secret island but you can just step outside and you are in the middle of everything. We had a Deluxe Superior room and the bathroom was amazing in size and décor.
The was a faint background sewage/drain smell in the bathroom. The same faint smell was present in the lobby and some other common areas; they need to get this fixed because it's extremely dangerous for health reasons to have live sewage fumes in the air for both the staff and the guests. The restaurant/room service staff have no idea how to serve at this level. The menu is too overdone and not well delivered. People travelling want to eat light, extra healthy, uncomplicated and genuine food served excellently. The other staff (although friendly and nice) need to be trained appropriately for this level. They also need to have clean shoes and hair and be highly attentive but not overbearing.
This was a lovely hotel in a converted monastery in a very quiet part of the city. The staff were uniformly helpful, from before our arrival through to our departure. I especially would like to acknowledge the concierge staff and the front desk staff. The rooms were beautiful and beautifully appointed. We were very comfortable at the Augustine.
Why oh why do many hotels feels the need to pipe music into every public space, including the public bathrooms? And the choice? It was decades too young for us and way too much, especially at breakfast and in the lovely bar at night. While it took several tries, the staff at breakfast did respond to our request to lower the volume. Not so in the bar, which is a shame because the beer, brewed at the monastery, was excellent. We would have stopped into the bar more often but for the loud music.
The staff were wonderfully warm, friendly and helpful. The hotel decor extremely tasteful. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very warm.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms perfect, clean, fab facilities and user-friendly.
Few other guests meant a lack of atmosphere, partcicularly important at the time of year (New Year period). Food and drink very expensive for Prague (maybe reason why few other guests?)
The location was perfect, walking distance to Prague castle compound and other attractions. The hotel was quiet and stylish. Staff was nice.
The rooms were so small and windows tiny.
