I think it's the best location one can find in whole Prague. The entrance is from a quiet street without aby boise, but take a few steps round the corner - an you are in the main stream of tourists. Situated almost on the Karlov bridge it is in the middle of tourist life. On the first day you can go left to the Old city and the next day you go to the right to Prazhsky Grad.

Fantastic location in Mala Strana - about 1 min walk to Charles Bridge - in a quiet street. Good sized room, clean and comfortable; friendly reception staff. I disliked nothing about the hotel. AVE, the chain which runs The Bishop's Hotel, sent me an email offering me a very expensive shuttle service from the airport. I organised my own for a third of the price.

Great location, literally steps from the Charles Bridge, but on a quiet side street. Close to a park by the river, where you can feed the swans and ducks. Metro station is a 5 minute walk, to catch the tram up to the Castle, or to Petrin Hill. Room was spacious by eu standards. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area. About 10 minute walk to Old Town Square, across the bridge. Breakfast buffet was fairly good, though the rap and hip-hop played in the breakfast room was annoying first thing in the morning, and a little out of character for the clientele staying at this hotel. Parking was off-site (nearby) and a bit challenging to find, but we were able to drive our car up to the hotel to unload our luggage first. Cost was pretty reasonable for the location, compared to other hotels in Prague. The staff were not as friendly as I expect from hotel staff (though this was fairly common in Prague restaurants and souvenir shops too). They had a glass in the bathroom (for rinsing after brushing teeth). My hands were wet when I grabbed the glass, and it slipped through my fingers and broke in the sink. I threw the broken glass in the trashcan, so my son wouldn't cut himself on it. That afternoon, when we came back to the hotel, the receptionist told me that the maid had found the broken glass I "hid" in the trashcan, and that I had to pay for it. While it wasn't expensive (about $7.50), the way they handled it was rude and insulting. The rooms are non-smoking, but they allowed smoking in the lobby. Every time we went out or came in, we had to pass through a horrible cloud of cigarette smoke, aggravating my asthma. The beds were very uncomfortable in our triple room. They need new mattresses, as the ones currently on the bed dip in the middle, making our backs ache when we woke up!

The location is fantastic - it's literally 15 seconds walk from the Charles Bridge, and it's on the far end of the bridge from the city, so you can come "home" and get some sleep. The staff are friendly and helpful, too! Breakfast is three-star at best, but is still good enough to set you up for a day's exploring.

Hotel was very clean rooms were nice and close to all areas of interest. The smell of tobaco smoke was always on the top floor this was due to people smoking down in lobby and the smoke traveled up the elavator shaft .

The staff was very, very friendly and helpful. They contacted me before I arrived, to offer a shuttle from the airport, which I did not need, but I appreciated the gesture. The breakfast was the best I've had in Prague, and I stay there very often! The location is unbeatable - so close to the Charles Bridge, yet on a quieter side street! My only exception to this hotel is that it is nowhere near as nice as pictured in its website. It's a fine hotel, but the pictures on the website were quite extravagant, in comparison to the room I received! Perhaps at the special rate I got from Booking.com, I was given a simpler room. The price was so good that I would certainly stay there again, but only if I got the same special half-price rate - there are other hotels in the area that I prefer.

Welcome gift of a bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival was a pleasant surprise. Though a bit small, this hotel catered to all our needs and we had a comfortable stay. Location was excellent with all attractions within easy walking distance. Good breakfast and helpful staff. The exterior like most other hotels in the area retain the old structures keeping to the historic beauty of the Lesser Town. The lift only permitted two or one plus luggage! Guess this is due to limited space within the building for modernization. Nice quaint little place with all necessary amenities for a memorable enjoyable holiday. Though we had a discounted rate for our return transfer back to the airport they did not help with the booking and insisted we use their own cab service..

The location could not be better, a short walk to all the major sites. The staff were so helpful we could not have asked for anything more, quickly arranged everything we needed. On a side street away from any noise with restaurants across the street & beside. My wife, myself and our friends simply loved it.

The Bishop's house staff were very co-operative. We (2 friends) reached Prague very early in morning on October 28, 2012 from Frankfurt, it was raining and was very cold. We were allowed to check-in in our room at 8 AM, though the normal check-in time was 2 PM. Very experienced lady at the reception quickly organised 2 tickets for a Grand City Tour of Prague. In the snowy & chilly weather condition, we would have wasted entire day, if we had not gone for this 6 hour trip (including boat ride and lunch). The English speaking guide (Mathew from Slovak republic) was excellent and made the entire trip to Old town square, Prague castle, Charles bridge, Astronomical clock, Powder gate, Boat ride on River Valtava & excellent lunch, a never before experience. Next day the same lady helped us by keeping our luggage safely, while we went for trip to Kutna Hora. Location of the Bishop's house, right next to Charles Bridge, makes it very convenient to walk across to Old town square, new town square, Castle, Petrin Park etc. very easy at any time of the day. While it is close to Charles Bridge, it also has a very peaceful atmosphere once inside hotel. Buffet breakfast is quite elaborate and tasty. I can go on and on........Rajesh Rana....New Delhi

The hotel is wonderfully located in a quiet square, extremely close to the Charles Bridge - atm machine, restaurants, shops, McDonald's, a bakery and a small supermarket nearby. The rooms are clean, with a free to use small safe and a kettle. There was a complimentary botle of wine in the room! There is also a mini-bar fridge which was well stocked and seemed reasonably priced. There was also a good sized tv but only one channel in english (bbc). The staff is polite, the breakfast adequate, and we would stay here again if we got the room at a similarly competitive rate. The hotel can not be classified as 4-star hotel. The bathroom had a shower, but no bathtub. Complimentary toiletries were bottles of combined hair/shower liquid. We would stay here again if we got the room at a similarly competitive rate.

Only the location which was excellent the rest was pretty average! Not the best value for money! Not worthy of 4 stars! Parking was 10 minute drive away or risk the fine. I parked outside and took the risk no fine? Receptionist was not that helpful when we arrived, fine in the morning. Room was without central light fitting and witg crap view so it was rather dark.
