Excellent staff, very helpful and pleasant. Very good location.
The breakfast could have been better (especially eggs). No lift to the 4th floor.
The situation, 2 minutes from the Bridge Charles. The Breakfast, The Limo service, quietness, the receiptionist help.
The staff was good. Food was fine too but we are talking about a hotel other than The Charles, which is where we wanted to stay.
We never stayed there!!! We were taken to a different neighborhood and booked into a hotel called The Elite. It was OK, expensive, and was farther away from The Charles Bridge than the hotel we booked.
You actually pay more than the price you have made the reservation with because they charge you in the local currency with horrible made up exchange rates. For example we were told an extra bed is 30€ per night- but due to the high exchange rate (10% higher than at the atm) it was 33 €. All in all we payed 10% more than the price shown on booking.com
Friendly, helpful and obliging staff. Clean, characterful and quiet room with comfortable bed and lovely modern bathroom. Very old building with studded oak doors only 200 yards from Charles Bridge - perfect location for exploring old town on foot.
Breakfast was plentiful but a bit unimaginative and coffee was disappointing. Restaurant was in the basement and rather gloomy with no natural light, but it was cheerfully decorated and staff were quick to clear tables and set things up.
The room was so lovely that it made you feel like royalty
The noise was unbearable until around 3 or 4 am. Although the location was good I certainly wish I would of been staying at a Hotel on the other side of the Charles Bridge. The eating area was so disgusting we didn't eat there the last two days which was included in our rate.
Location, Location, Location!!! Traditional rooms, friendly front desk staff.
Bed were very soft (those with back and neck problems will have an issue). The bath tub was not comfortable at all with water spilling out of the small tub.
- Great location - After changing the room assigned to us, we got a very nice and comfortable room. - If you disregard the first impression you get from the Hotel Lobby and the Front Desk, you will find that the hotel is quite nice. - Staff was very helpful and understanding when we asked to change the room they first put us in, as it was not up to the expected standard. - Breakfast is OK. Less than a 4 stars standard but OK.
This was our first return to The Charles since our honeymoon eleven years ago and it didn't disappoint. Although the hotel has expanded, it has retained it's Bohemian charm, the rooms are comfortable and spacious and the staff couldn't be more helpful especially the taxi driver who took us to and from the airport - costs 40 euros but worth every penny particularly when you are on a short break and want to make the most of your time.
No real downsides at all if you don't count the dodgy plug mechanism in the sink which I sorted myself....
Great location, extremely kind and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room
We got our room upgraded because it's our honeymoon. One of the best location in Prague! Decent, clean & well decorate room with an old history, perfect location, just a few min walk you can get everything !
The only pity thing is no curtain in bathroom , you have to be really careful when taking a shower otherwise the floor will be really wet. limited continental breakfast
Nice décor, location.
Poor breakfast and shower that made the whole bathroom wet.
great location 200 meters away of the Karls-Bridge. gives you a historic feeling, Rooms with high wooden beam ceilings, some rooms with painted ceilings. modern equipped bathrooms. clean rooms, mostly Geman TV stations available
car park offered by the hotel is a 10 minutes walk away, unsufficiant description of direction to the parking. First must drive to hotel Williams, then change voucher from The Charles hotel into to a parking permit. Drive to parking lot. loading and unloading in front of the Charles not possible, must stop the car 60 meters away. Parking cars in the stret only for residents.
The hotel itself is beautiful with an extremely helpful staff. The rooms are clean and huge, perfect for couples and family stay as well. The breakfast is really delicious with the option to choose from hot or cold bufet. The hotel is about 30m from Prague's biggest attraction; the Charles bridge and is really close to the historic center.
The only thing to reproach is the noise during the night comming from the streets.
Localization and breakfast
To be called dishonest for the first time in my 66 years of life because I was twelve minutes too late at checkout. Probably the histeria of the receptionist at the check out for the twelve minutes could be explained by a too short interval between check in and check out. A too short interval between check in and check out is also what could explain why the rooms are not clean enough. Particularly the bath tube and the chairs at the room.
Rooms in the 3rd floor
Breakfast Room and Quality
We stayed only one night. The hotel is near the Charles Bridge and Prague castle. The Old Town is 10-15 minutes of walk. Staff at the reception was very nice and helpful. Parking is a bit expensive (30 euros a day), but a ticket that you get from the hotel is applicable within the district Plague 1 (blue parking areas). Breakfast was very good.
The area is a bit noisy because of a huge number of tourists visiting the site. It is not easy to sleep almost until 2:00 AM. What we also didn’t like was the way we were treated at the restaurant “Malostranská beseda”, which is around the corner and was recommended as a place with a nice food. The food was good; however one of the waitresses who were serving our table was not polite to us.
Rooms with lots of character. Very central location. Helpful staff.
Noise at night but to be expected downtown with a street-front room.
Excellent location, lovely old-style hotel, lounge area downstairs with tea/coffee facilities for guests (e.g. while waiting for taxi), very nice breakfast, great restaurant close by
Wardrobe door would swing open if not closed properly and block access to bed (minor detail), no proper shower (bath with hand-held shower head)
Helpful and polite staff
绝佳的地理位置，卫生间很大，非常不错的早餐。 great location, big bathroom, very nice breakfast.
the head of shower can't be fixed on the wall, have to be hold by hand all the time. and there is no curtain, lead to water splashed out of shower area. 莲蓬头挂不住，需要手持洗澡，没有浴帘，洗完澡满地都是水！
Location was okay (although better locations at other side of river). Clean. Staff friendly.
Breakfast nothing special. Loud pub downstairs with noise until early hours of morning 1-2am. Early wake up due to traffic and pedestrian noise outside from around 7am.
Location was as good as it gets. The receptionist Samir is a real asset with excellent business skills. He is highly organized and has a great facilty in english and french. He was also a very knowledgeable and helpful resource for pulling together the logisitics (train and taxi arrangements, currency exchanges, etc.) for day trips and return trips to Prague. He has a friendly personality and a business-like approach. He should be trained for a position in management.
Some very loud noise from young drinkers in the street at night but to be expected in a room fronting the street in such a central location. Would prefer breakfast hours to be extended from 10 to 11 AM.
The staff were extremely helpful , great location , big rooms ,though the breakfast was a little poor for a four star hotel ...
