The bath room is totally separated to the living room. And there is large space to put my luggage! The bed is also very big and comfortable. the position is close to the castle.
It is a little bit loud when the windows face to the street. The snacks are very very expensive and not fresh, so I have to pay even I cannot eat such "food".
Loud music from bar next door
Location! Perfect for exploring the lesser town and castle, right next to st Nicholas chuch and Charles bridge. Room was comfortable and has everything. Great value for money.
Occasional street noise at night might disturb light sleepers. The shower didn't drain properly - mentioned to staff but was not fixed.
Good location, helpful staffs, nice decoration and comfortable washroom, strong wifi, nice stay here, if i have a 2nd time to prague, i will stay here again~
my husband and i came with his mother whose walking abilities are greatly reduced - after i signalled this in an email before arriving, they made certain that her room was directly across from the elevator so as to make things easier for her the decor matches prague's historic beauty: painted ceilings, real wood floors, antique-style wardrobes, etc.
the shower stall is quite a step up and my mother-in-law could not get in - however, after consultations with the staff, a temporary "step" was created for her and everything worked out fine
Dated forniture. Breakfast room not adequate (in the basement, not clean, humid, very poor breakfast)- surely not a 4 star service/premise.
i liked the room - very good design. you feel like in a really ancient hotel. big room. everything in order, maybe the breakfast was not very rich, but i never account on that seriously...
unfortunately, you can hear everything going on in your neighbor's bathroom - maybe because of the wooden doors.
WiFI and location to the Charles Bridge. walking distance to all parts of the city
The Night Club (Blue Light) downstairs next to the hotel let out about 3am, and there is a steady stream of loud drunk people who hang out until about 5am. No sleep!!!
The location next to the Charles Bridge was perfect. The a huge land mark so if ever you were lost just ask someone how to get to the Charles bridge and you're home free.
My credit card was used in order to "preaprove" the payments for the room. When I made the payment, the hotel did not release the amount of money they initially blocked! Now I have to make 100 calls to both my bank and the Hotel in order to have the amount un-blocked! When I called the hotel the receptionist was rude and aggressive! I will never use this hotel again!
Location was very good, near to all attractions.
Noise was coming from the street and even from the next room. Breakfast was very poor.
Location, style, breakfast, room!
There was a bad smell in the bathroom
The location was nice near of the action. The room was big. The furniture except the bed were nice. The personal at the reception were kind.
The room for breakfast was in the basement with low ceiling and no windows. The hot meal was cold and the presentation was very poor. After the first day, we skipped the breakfast instead it was included. For a junior suite the bathroom was very small with only some space around the sink as counter. The bed was incomfortable with a big separation in the centre. For us it is not a 4*.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Sir!
We booked a room with bath and on the top floor and got a room with shower on the first floor. :)
Location is close to the major attractions and a few good restaurants. Room was quite big and clean. Shower and double bed were there as I asked. Staff was English speaking and friendly on all days. Internet was good and there were enough sockets to charge all devices I had with me in the same time.
It can be quite loud outside of the hotel at night, but I have no issues with that. Last day during check out I had a rather weird conversation about printing my flight ticket on the reception, so I even thought I will need to print it somewhere else. After a few awkward moments ticket was printed by me, because receptionist didn't want to touch computer and asked me to do it.
Very central location, literally 250m from Charles-bridge, Excellent breakfast, big rooms, clean and comfortable.
I already book this when i travel to PRague centre is behind the corner :-) good restaurants around, bar near by hotel entrance.
Parking is not always possible at the hotel but there is parking place with cameras and it is 20,-eur/night
The Charles Hotel is typically Czech and has enormous character, at the same time as providing all modern amenities you need on a trip overseas. The staff are delightful and ever-helpful and the location, within metres of the famous Charles Bridge, couldn't be better.
Nothing at all.
Excellent staff, very helpful and pleasant. Very good location.
The breakfast could have been better (especially eggs). No lift to the 4th floor.
The situation, 2 minutes from the Bridge Charles. The Breakfast, The Limo service, quietness, the receiptionist help.
The staff was good. Food was fine too but we are talking about a hotel other than The Charles, which is where we wanted to stay.
We never stayed there!!! We were taken to a different neighborhood and booked into a hotel called The Elite. It was OK, expensive, and was farther away from The Charles Bridge than the hotel we booked.
You actually pay more than the price you have made the reservation with because they charge you in the local currency with horrible made up exchange rates. For example we were told an extra bed is 30€ per night- but due to the high exchange rate (10% higher than at the atm) it was 33 €. All in all we payed 10% more than the price shown on booking.com
Friendly, helpful and obliging staff. Clean, characterful and quiet room with comfortable bed and lovely modern bathroom. Very old building with studded oak doors only 200 yards from Charles Bridge - perfect location for exploring old town on foot.
Breakfast was plentiful but a bit unimaginative and coffee was disappointing. Restaurant was in the basement and rather gloomy with no natural light, but it was cheerfully decorated and staff were quick to clear tables and set things up.
The room was so lovely that it made you feel like royalty
The noise was unbearable until around 3 or 4 am. Although the location was good I certainly wish I would of been staying at a Hotel on the other side of the Charles Bridge. The eating area was so disgusting we didn't eat there the last two days which was included in our rate.
Location, Location, Location!!! Traditional rooms, friendly front desk staff.
Bed were very soft (those with back and neck problems will have an issue). The bath tub was not comfortable at all with water spilling out of the small tub.
