Scenic riverside town, with good local amenities and plenty to see within a short walk. Great church tower & riverside walks. Saturday market in the square, selling local produce. Generally quiet, though with some noisier life at the outskirts for those who seek it!

Check-in took place in the associated restaurant and was quite quick. The double room at the attic was spacious and nicely furnished. There was something romantic about it. It was quiet so far, had a good temperature and had a nice bathroom. I was amazed by the tea from Twining in the room as well as the very good tea for breakfast. In general, the breakfast was very tasty, varied and extensive. All in all I really liked it and I will come back.

The breakfast buffet had a good variety and was delicious. The proprietor is friendly and accommodating. We paid extra to park our rental car a short distance from the hotel.
