Wifi internet was very slow and usually cannot connect.
I will start primarily with the restaurant of the hotel which was great. Lovely food at a good price fast serving and discount for the hotel clients and take the breakfast cause its worth the money. The location of the hotel was great at the bottom of the Funicular and very close to the city center, the Charles Bridge and the Prague Castle. You don't need to buy a tram ticket just if you want to climb with the funicular the rest of the city center was reachable by foot.
The plumbing was a bit loud during the day and night in our room at least and the hotel a bit claustrophobic
The Little Quarter is a lovely area - within walking distance of sightseeing and the trams stop right outside the hotel. All the staff were friendly and the receptionists very helpful. Lovely atmosphere in this small, clean hotel. Restaurant very good and reasonable prices.Very pleasant to have a drink before bed in the little bar. If I return to Prague I will stay in this hotel. .
There is nothing I didn't like about this hotel. I thought the passing trams might be noisy at night but we were on the 3rd floor and the traffic died down after midnight.
Area around hotel very safe with good local bars etc. Spacious single room with fridge and flat screen tv. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast and trams just outside hotel. Reduction 5% if you pay in cash - CZ or Euro.
No electric kettle in room.
Good food and location
Noisy at night.
Good location. Very nice staff.
Nice location. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Fast and reliable internet connection.
Very basic breakfast. Relatively small rooms.
Very nice family staff.
breakfast was included, which was great. staff was really friendly, nice to have an elevator. cool two story suite for three friends with own bed for each.
a mount for the shower head would be great instead of standing and holding the spray...sofa bed was ok after requesting padding after an unpleasant first night. still, for the price and the other great things these were minor hassles.
WOW. Incredible gem of a hotel with one of the best experiences I have had overseas. (1) Hotel Staff: Extremely friendly and courteous, from the waiters to the front desk to the cleaners. They did everything they could to make me feel at home in this family-run hotel, and using English was no problem at all. Always smiling, always willing to help, the staff went beyond their call of duty. I am very impressed by the professionalism behind this establishment. (2) Rooms and Service: Gorgeous, spacious, and clean. I am very picky about sanitation, and I was very pleased at how well-kept my room was. WiFi is provided free with working AC (which is a godsend as it can get quite hot in Prague). Shower and bath were very easy to use and clean. No tobacco smell on their sheets/spreads. The "feel" is cozy, which is something I don't get from staying at larger-named chain hotels. Check-in/out was a breeze, as was paying by US credit card. There is even an art gallery on the bottom floor with an impressive array of modern art for viewing and sale. A nice addition! (3) Food: Be sure to have the steak with pepper sauce! It was probably one of the best steaks I have ever eaten; the meat just melts in your mouth. The portions are generous for the low price (euros and koruna), and the staff is very accommodating with dietary restrictions (which was the case for me.) Try the "Great Czech Plate" as well! The food is fresh, delicious, and was always served with a smile. Their breakfast selection is generous and fresh. (4) Location: 10-15 minute walk from the Charles Bridge and the heart of the city of Prague (or literally minutes by tramway). The hotel is located on a very convenient part of town that is safe, tourist-friendly, and simply beautiful. There is a park right in front that leads to the Tower filled with romantics. The location doesn't get any better; farther out, you'd have to take the metro, which can be a hassle.
This was my first time in Prague, and let me tell you, especially coming from a picky traveler: I have not a single negative review of this hotel. They made my experience in Prague a memorable one and will stay again!
Location near tram stop Breakfast, excellent meals in the restaurant.
Location Helpful staff Clean room Solid breakfast Nice food in restaurant downstairs
The staff was amazing! They genuinely care about customer service! Very nice stay! Close to everything. Highly recommended!
good location. not far from center and castle as well as bus terminal. breakfast is quite acceptable.
A/C doesn't work (some limote control problem) when the tram passes in the outside, you could feel the vibration also. but this i not big matter.
Great location, relatively quiet for Prague but close to everything. Hotel restaurant very good food for very low prices. Worthwhile.
Beds were uncomfortable and there were several squashed bugs on the ceiling which was less than pleasant to look at.
Fantastic location. Great value and spotlessly clean. We had one of the duplex suites at the back across a little courtyard, which was quiet and spacious. I had the sofa bed downstairs, and my 18 and 21 year old children shared the upstairs room adjacent to the pristine, newly fitted bathroom. There were plenty of sockets for charging phones, a fridge, a TV and a safe, & the upstairs velux windows were fitted with blackout blinds. We didn't try the aircon or the hair dryer. Wifi was a little patchy at times but free. Breakfast was plenteous and fairly varied over our 6 day stay, and we enjoyed an excellent and heavily discounted evening meal. Staff were polite and helpful, offered 5% discount for settling accommodation bill in cash (euros or kroner), and were kind enough to keep our luggage locked in a cupboard for a few hours following check out.
The duplex was a great size for a family, but the upstairs beds were built-in narrow bench type beds, with probably not the most comfortable mattresses. (However, my kids slept really well & didn't complain once.)There would have been plenty of room to put in two normal size beds- and equally downstairs- the sofabed was not ideal. If they put in decent beds (and a kettle) it would be absolutely perfect. As it is I'd still recommend it highly and would happily stay there again.
Nothing can complain, very comfortable. Bothe paying cash and eating at in-house restaurant can get discount.
- location close to transit, grocery and restaurants - Room had good noise insulation given that there are bars right next door - wi-fi - included breakfast was adequate (not "excellent" by any measure)
- Old, grimy-looking furniture; *bare bones* room. This might be rustic charm to some but we look for more in hotel accommodations. - The old cupboard to hang up clothing had a musty smell so we had to leave the door ajar when we needed to use it (we tried to minimize this but there weren't many other clothes hanging options in the room). All clothes hangers were retail store disposables with broken shafts etc. - bed sheets were a worn knit material - scratchy to the touch from all the pilling. - bath towels were worn thin. - even basic amenities were missing in room, such as a waste basket in the room, a box of tissues etc. The AC remote was available with a 100 euro deposit from the front desk. (btw, "front desk" is actually a cubby under the stair case). - the bar next door has some kind of special on Thursday nights - the hotel entryway was party-central till late that night. - Reception staff did not notify guests that hotel credit card machine was down. As a result we had to run around trying to arrange for cash payment with our airport taxi waiting at the door. They offered a small discount for the inconvenience but our transaction cost was high. Cozy, non-chain hotels are a great concept but scratchy sheets, thin towels, restricted payment options .. you wonder at some point what it is you are paying for. Our disappointment may have had a lot to do with the 8-9 point ratings from former guests - a key reason why we booked this hotel. We now know more about value for money in Prague from own experience and will likely look elsewhere next time.
everything was perfect!!!
all was good , breakfast was really nice , staff very friendly , near to all places .
The location is very good, it is across the street from the Venicular that takes you up to the Petrin (Prague's Eiffel Tower, offers fantastic views of the city and surrounding area). It is a 10-15 minute walk to the Charles Bridge and onward to Old Town. It is located on a tram line. The room is basic but comfortable, ask for a quiet room off the Main Street. Safety deposit box is in room. Breakfast is very good, hot & cold choices are available & it is held in their restaurant. Where else do you receive a bottle of sparkling wine, dinner for 2 and 15% off additional dinners in their restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised and very pleased.
The clothes closet is set in a very dark area just inside the entrance and needs lighting so you can see inside.
Lovely room with suitcase racks and wardrobe. Excellent location. Helpful and friendly staff. Very good value for money.
friendly helpful staff - gorgeous location - clean, comfortable and 'individual ' not part of a big chain etc
breakfast coffee wasn't good and no hot food offered at breakfast
I want little more clean, but it's good
Very good location, close to Prague Castle and Charles Bridge. Friendly staff. Good breakfast with many options.
We could not open the curtains on the windows, because our windows looked on the inner terrace.
