Close to the very center of Prague, just a 5 minute walk from Wenceslas Square, the hotel is a good base for exploring this beautiful, historic city.

Tram 22 just in front, good breakfast and hotel restaurant very good and economic.
Bed not confortable
The stay was pleasant, the breakfasts usual for the hotels of this price range, but tasty anyway, personnel always willing to help though not always understanding English. We left Prague early in the morning and the staff was so kind that they even made breakfast boxes to go.
Almost all the personnel except for receptionist speaks no English, which made it sometimes difficult to communicate. It was pretty cold in the room, in winter it could be a problem, and there was little dust in some corners.
I would like to thank you hotel kriz and the management for fantastic service and moving our booking without any extra charge because of troubles with our arrivel due problems with train transfer in Czech.we loved our short stay in the hotel.rooms are spacious ,food in restaurant is excellent, staff is welcoming and helpful!great location too!
Clean, comfortable and friendly place. Breakfasts are various and tasty. The main sights are very close to the hotel - you can reach them by foot. If I will come back to Prague - I will stay here once more!
Sometimes wi-fi is too weak
Very friendly stuff, the brekfast was good and the location was very good. This hotel is value for money for sure.
There was some noise from the tram outside. The internet connection wasn't always good.
Good position, nice food in the restaurant, and the bed was amazing very relaxing.
Location Staff, food and breakfast plus discount in resteraunt!
-Location -Price -Staff
-Cleanliness of the floor -Beds were not comfortable -Bad internet connection -Photos on the internet do not correspond to reality -Furniture is old, not vintage
Transportation, both tramway and funicular. Close to city center Lovely view in november:) Helpful staff Clean and warm rooms Good price
Maybe breakfast - it depends on habits though-
Hotel U Krize is perfect place for stay in Prague. Located just in the city center on Mala Strana. It takes 15 minutes walking to Charles Brigde and other attractions of the town. Tram stop (no. 20 & 22) is just in front of the hotel and it is easy to use it if you would like somewhere else than city center. The room we got on 2. floor was modest but clean. Not to big, but there was very comfortable bed and renewed bathroom. Also fridge, TV and strong wifi signal. You can even use minibar and the prices were OK. The hotel restaurant serves great food, we have lunch and dinner there during our 3-days stay and I would really recommend it. Czech and Italian cusine is what you can have there. The breakfasts are monotonous but rich: wide selection of sliced meat, cheese (including blue one), fresh fruits and other. But the most advantage of this place it is its staff: very helpful and friendly. They are really taking care of their guestes. All these things above are the reason we choose hotels like U Krize instead of huge hotels.
lack of hot dishes for breakfast (sausages, eggs)
Friendliness of the staff. The room of the restaurant where is served the breakfast is very nice and pleasant. The breakfast is good. The tram station is right outside the hotel (Újezd).
Noise and vibration from the tram. It's not exactly in the center, as I read in some comments here. However the major attractions are within a 20 minute walking.
Staff was excellent. They saved us a large parking spot for less money. They even helped us get our car out. Discount in restaurant was great. Breakfast was great! Dinner was fantastic! Location was so close to everything!
If you are on the side with the tram, it is loud. Bring earplugs and solve the problem!
Provided an extensive breakfast as well as tea and sweet in the afternoon!! Great location as we were just across the bridge from the really touristy area. Excellent Czech restaurants nearby. Try the Kovolka (sp?) near the bridge.
The location is VERY GOOD. The staff is polite and really helpful.
Small rooms. Small windows. very small and uncomfortable bathroom. Breakfast is not more than - OK...
Great location, within walking distance to the Charles Bridge and the historical centre. Good selection at breakfast.
Mattress too hard.
Hotel services, cleariness, easy to get transportation
the location is perfect and the price is very nice! It feels like the whole Prague inside with old furniture together with good quality. If you want to feel Prague even in your room this is the perfect place to stay. Breakfast is very nice in a small cozy restaurant and included into the price.
Staff great, excellent English, very helpful. Great breakfast, and dinner could be had at a discount. Location excellent, easy walk to castle or old town square. We were upgraded to a two-level quite with a spiral staircase
Restaurant in hotel had great breakfast options, free afternoon coffee/tea + pastry, and discounts for residents on already inexpensive and delicious food. Hotel is conveniently connected by tram stop for multiple lines in different directions.
Ancient building but with all comforts(also AC),excellent restaurant (discount for hotel guests)and breakfast. Also helpful and attentive staff.
Some may dislike some details like old structure (but traditional and tidy) or food smell in the aisles(kitchen very close to reception but didn't affect rooms) but to me quite pleasant stay. Also,if with car not very easy to sort out parking issue unless paying considerable sums and walk a bit as usual for such a central position.
Location Friendly staff Good breakfasts
Location, great service, breakfast
Parking is tight.
The staff were amazing and very accommodating. The room was massive and well maintained. The hotel is in a lovely old building with character. Also the restaurant food was amazingly good and very cheap.
Right on a main road so the people and trams were noisy all hours of the night. The bed was a little lumpy and the pillows were awful.
Staff, breakfast, free internet, silent room (we had one of the rooms away from the noisy street)
Beds were too soft, plus some fixtures like the showerbox make it look like a cheap hotel
