Re-opened in June 2014 after an extensive renovation, AXA Hotel was built in the early 1930s in a Functionalist style in a central Prague location 1,325 ft from Wenceslas Square.

Located in Velke Cicovice, 10 minutes’ drive from the Prague Airport, Dvur Hoffmeister offers a restaurant and a summer terrace with barbecue facilities.

Location very good, very close to the Hrad, the Strachov monastery and the Charles Bridge
Towels were nevere changed during our 4 nights stay, breakfast was very basic and there was a strange smell inside the hotel (more appropiate would be guest house). Also the bathroom is very small.
The accommodation was a good size and easy walking distance to Prague castle and Charles bridge with a little further to Old town. Lots of restaurants close by. Free parking was about a 10 minute walk away however the road outside the hotel is a one-way system with a 4km loop. Breakfast was ample with a good selection of food.
The attic room is the biggest room but it is on the 4th floor with some narrow stairs on the last level.
You can reach most tourist attractions on foot.Suprisingly quiet street, almost no traffic, cosy little house.
the rooms were big and spacious .Also good kitchen facilities . The airport transfer was also a very good option when booking this hotel.
We stayed on the 2nd floor .and the guests above us from 7.30am to 10.30 were making a lot of noise on the wooden floors . This made trying to get some sleep impossible . At times it was like they were moving furniture the noise was that bad .
An amazingly beautiful house/room on a great location.
It's an old house and one can hear sounds from nearby rooms.
It is a 15th century restored house furnished differently in each room. The breakfast room was probably a winery. Staff very helpful and a great location.
I am an older person the Golden Horse is near the top of a hill that I found very challenging. I did find an easier way.
The staff were friendly and helpful and provided advice on getting to the main attractions. The location had great scenery, made it ideal to walk to the centre and the church bells ringing out on the hour gave an uplifting feeling.
breakfast was good, a wider variety would have been more enjoyable.
Location was good.
Paying the room with credid card did not work, had to hassle half an hour to get cash to pay and they wouldn't compensate this in any way on the price.
Location was good
Not enough English speaking help
Great location. The people were friendly.
WiFi coverage was not good in our room.
Friendly staff and breakfast was part of booking, which was good. Close to the castle and some great restaurants on same road, further down.offered pick up and drop off service to airport, at reasonable price.
Was in room on fourth floor, no lift, which was tiring once had walked up quite steep hill to hotel. A warning to those who struggle with stairs. No air conditioning, only a couple of fans available which were noisy when kept on all night. Bar next to hotel can get quite noisy till the early hours, but wasn't too bad.
Location Familiar and kind staff Price
Location was excellent, but just as much of Prague, a lot of walking was involved because hotel is on an incline. Staff very friendly and eager to help.
Room was not cleaned every second day as was promised on our arrival. On the fifth day, we managed to find the lady that was cleaning the rooms to ask her to change the sheets. That was the only time she came, for the duration of our 9 night stay. Wi if is horrible so if you are planning on using it a lot, stay away. Very difficult to get a hold of staff...very rarely are they at reception desk and when someone is there, most times they don't speak English so it's pretty hard to communicate.
There wasn`t wi-fi in the room...(( Обещанного wi-fi в номере не было...((
The staff (owner and his mother who cleaned the place) were lovely--helpful and friendly. The room was small but clean and comfortable with its own full bath. It also had a shared small kitchen (sink and refrigerator) in a common area. Good breakfast included. A short uphill walk to the Castle area.
Wi-fi sporadic. If you have problems with walking, this is too hilly for you, either going up to Castle or returning at end of day.
The location very close to city centre, friendly staff, relaxed atsmosphere.
The Wifi packed up after the first night and didn't come back on.
- location is excellent: literally 2 mins from the Prague Castle. - staff was friendly, even though they did not know english very well - we ckecked out at 10 a.m. but they kept our luggage in their office for the rest of the day so we can explore the city without having to drag our suitcases around. Very nice. - they offer transfer to or from airport, in exchange for a fee. - good price
- very poor free wifi connection in the room (but i've learnt that's something very common for Prague) - bed sheets, towels etc were clean but they could improve in areas like carpets, doors etc.
Excellent location, clean room
Close to the centre, spacious rooms, all-you-can-eat breakfast, little kitchen free to use, very clean and good staff.
Great location just next to the castle. All attractions are available on foot. Mala Strana is a calmer district then Main squere area and you can find quiet places to relax.
* Very nice, very cosy room, kind of "grandma's house" style, one of the nicest I ever stayed * Small kitchen where you can cook, if you are into it * Very close to the center (although you have to climb the hill to get to the hotel) * 2 grocery shops can be found nearby, and also a lot of coffee houses * WiFi was OK
* Some receptionists don't really speak any language except Czech (although the guy who met us the first day spoke the perfect English) * There is no one at the reception after 16:00, so if you have any problem you have to call them * On the last day, even though the check out was at 11:00, the girl came to the room at 9:30 asking to pay for the stay * Cleaning was a bit lame, I am not sure they actually did anything except changing the towels * One evening there was no hot water in the room * No shampoo in the bathroom, only hard soap * No elevator, and the ladder could be quite steep for the older person * Breakfast was nothing exceptional (although it was not much worse than in any other typical European hotel)
The transfer from the airport to the hotel and vice verse was excellent. The staff was very kind. The hotel was full of character. Very nicely situated. The breakfast was satisfactory.
A little number of towels
Very handy location
Very small room
The place was in a perfect location for exploring Prague on foot - just outside of the busiest area near Charles Bridge, but right beside the Castle. Martina was extremely friendly and helpful, especially with recommendations of what to see and where to go. Breakfast was also great.
No air conditioning - although we did have a fan.
