Hotel Vitkov  

i was recommended this hotel by the clinic while i was in prague for surgery.i needed to book into a hotel for 4 days to rest after my surgery before flying home.they looked at me like an alien as i had black eyes and a splint on my nose.i also had surgery on my stomach and could hardly walk.i requested room serviceso i could have my breakfast in my room and other meals if need be as i was unable to walk and felt concious of my looks.they informed me when i got there that i couldnt have it!!!..i had to get up at 6am and fetch my breakfast and take it to my room before anyone got up and saw me.also there was a party of 150 italian students there who partied all night!!!..i didnt sleep for 4 days and was depressed and exhausted,they banged on walls,doors ,shouted,screamed till up to 5am!.i complained up to 5 times a night and the receptionist tried to speak to them but they just laughed at her and didnt take any notice.i asked to speak to the manager on my last day.he basically told me he couldnt afford to not accept the booking.i told him his reputation should be more important than having young rowdy kids in destroying his hotel and upsetting his guests!!..he said all i can do i give you a days refund!!...which i never got because my bill was paid prior with yourselves and the young lady said she wasnt allowed to do it!!..so all in all a terrible stay with poor customer service.they have alot of patients from the clinic and i think they should do room service! they dont even have a kettle in the room,so i went 15 to 20 hrs without a drink!...

Rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. Wifi is cheap - 1 euro a night. Tram is right across the street!

The wifi signal was very weak and the staff were not very helpul. Do not accept that the staff call you a cab, they call a private driver which costs twice as much as a regular cab which is easy to flag down by the hotel. The tram takes 20 minutes to get into town. Breakfast is the same everyday and closes at 9:30 am.

The front disk were friendly & helpful people & gentle with the guests. The location of the Hotel is good 10-15 minutes to the City Center.

Only the traffic noise starting from the early morning was little much & the breakfast restaurant close & finish with the food little bit early

Room was clean and girl at the front desk for the day shift was so nice and gave us late check out when we asked her without any extra expense .. Private parking was a plus for us

Room was a bit noisy when you open the window and hot when you close it and they do not open the central ac unless it is burning like hell .. It was 28 degrees when we were there and still they didn't want to open the ac at least they can put a fan in summer months if still they are not willing to open the ac ... Also Internet did not work at all in our room ...

I liked the fact the hotel was modern, and has good links to public transport.

I did not like the noise level of the hotel. It is right on a very busy and very loud intersection with trams passing every few minutes. The A/C in the room was shut off making it hot - but the noise from the street made opening the windows unpleasant.

Cleanliness, farther from the city center than we thought

The room was amazing - very clean and cozy. I thought it was newly renovated. Price was more than attractive. It is very close to city center and easy to get to airport. If you are looking for hotel which offers luxury breakfast, then this hotel is not for you. But since this was not an issue for me, then I am more than happy that I chose this particular hotel and I would definatelly recommend it to others as well as stay there again.

Low price was appealing

Very mych noice from other guests, mainly yong people, untill very late. Not very cosy....

near to the tram

difficult to find parking space. And the breakfast was not good.
