The castle was built at the turn of the 19th century and has been the estate of a German industrial family. It is outside the village of Kaplice and 6 miles from the Czech-Austrian border. In 2005, the castle was completely refurbished and now has a capacity of 14 comfortable rooms with a bathroom and TV. Every room has a spectacular view. The hotel is accessible for guests with limited mobility.

The hotel is in an impressive location in the middle of the unspoiled Bohemian forest, but it is within walking distance of the tourist destinations in the southern Czech Republic. The river Malse with its many fish runs through the property.

Food & beverage

The kitchen staff is professionally trained and uses the best local products, serving healthy gourmet cuisine.

The restaurant will be closed during week 46 and week 47.

Great location tucked away off the main road, with a great view of the mountains, but still only 10-15 mins walk into town. Great value, and all the extras such as parking, breakfast, wifi are all included. De uitbaters zijn een vriendelijk Nederlands echtpaar. Goed restaurant. Erg traag internet. Geen TV op de kamer (aansluiting was wel voorzien), maar eigenlijk was dat voor ons niet van belang. Het hotel was niet direct te vinden met de GPS omdat alle straten over het riviertje dezelfde naam Mostky hebben.Tip: Breng in de navigatie als straat +huisnr. "Mostky 28" in. Eens je door het dorp Kaplice geleid bent goed uitkijken naar een wegwijzer Hotel Zamecek (naar rechts aan de eerste splitsing net buiten het dorp). W-lan auf zimmer war zu schwach, daher nicht nutzbar. In lobby und restaurant volles signal. Hinweis bei booking.com auf 3% extra charge bei Bezahlung mit Kreditkarte wär super. Mitten in der Natur und sehr sehr ruhig und idyllisch gelegen fernab von allen lauten Verkehrsstraßen und Städten. Ideal zum entspannen und erholen. Ca. 20 km entfernt von der schönen Stadt Krumau, die immer einen Ausflug wert ist. Hohe Zimmer, bequeme Betten. Saubere Dusche mit reichlich Wasser aus der Brause. Reichliches Frühstück.
