Allgemein nette Leute, gutes parking,

Zimmer war ordendlich aber Aussicht auf die hinterste Wand, Aggregatgeräusche und die ganze Nacht das Schnarchen des Nachbarn sehr gut zu hören, das gibt Minuspunkte beim Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Die riesige Business-Suite ist wärmstens zu empfehlen. Das Hotelrestaurant ist ausgezeichnet.

Location

Rating should be 3 star and not 4 stara as its package tour orientated. Decor is terrible. Bathrooms although recently renovated its impossible to have a decent shower without water going all over the floor due to shower head location.

The Grand Hotel Zvom is a very classy hotel located on the square in Ceske Budejovice. The square is perhaps one of the main shopping areas of the city and contains lots of nice shops and a couple of restaurants. The hotel room was very nice, including a tub in the bathroom. Beds and pillows were comfortable as well. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast was included in the rate we paid, and it was good. We chose the hotel because some of the reviews indicated its close proximity to the train station. I guess it depends on how one defines “close.” It was between ½ to ¾ of a mile, so one might give some consideration to that. There appeared to be one or two taxis at the train station that could be useful. Associated with the hotel are one or two restaurants, including one that features another local beer, not Budvar which Ceske Budejovice is famous for. Naturally, we tried both of them. If one is a beer lover, one will not be disappointed by either of the beers featured.

The location of the hotel is perfect (on the main place of Ceske Budejovice, which is a good base to visit the region, especially Ceske Krumlov). The rooms are large (bathroom is enormous) and renovated, and the hotel is exceptionnally clean. The breakfast is excellent, with a view on the magnificent public place. Free internet in the lobby.

We didn't have air conditioning, which is somewhat a problem if you're there in the summer and you have to let the window open, you could be awaken by the bells of the old clock tower located on the main publice place).
