25hours Hotel HafenCity    

Wonderful design throughout, great spaces to lounge, eat and drink, super-spacious and comfortable rooms, with amazing showers (we had the L Cabin, totally worth the little extra for it), great value. Location not super-central, but in brand new HafenCity area - very dramatic!

Probably nothing - except, beware of room 111 next to the smokers' lounge - the smoking isn't the problem, but the loud bass from the self-service vinyl player is!

Location near highways (5 minutes to a1 and a7), parking, easy access to underground and trains. Near center, 15 minutes of walking. Beautiful marine design. Good free wifi.

Too many mistakes for 4 star hotel. They missed our room (we asked for lux, but got only standard), had no keys for the room (I had to go to reception and ask them to open my room... This is not joke), problems with towels, twice I had no towels in the room (and I hadn't got them, because their cleaning has technical problems, why they than takes my old towels is still a question to me), expensive breakfast, parking usually doesn't work (but their is another parking deeper).

great athmosphere, a perfect combination of design, taste and in the same time very relaxed mood. so lovely details, friendly people, cool food and drinks. we loved the smokers lounge where you can be your own DJ...and the choice of excellent magazines and and and

the staff is friendly and good looking but not yet organized - waiting for 15 minutes without menue at the table, sitting at the bar and listening to the chief bartender complaining about colleagues...please do improve this - it will make your place perfect!

The hotel is rather new and the nautical theme is great. I was on ships for many years and chose the bunk-bed option just for fun, it was pretty cool. The entire hotel is very clean and modern. We ate at the restaurant several times and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel is within walking distance of most of the city sights and is directly across the street from the u-4 subway station. There is a parking garage that has direct access to the hotel elevators and at ten Euro per day, it was an great bargain. Most of the staff was very helpful and for those that were not, I think it was more of a language barrier than anything else.

There is very little storage space in the room to either hang or place anything; two tiny shelves that had decorative items on them, a small clothes closet, and no coat hooks at all. There was no place to set our suitcases and we had to live with them on the floor. The bathroom was also short of shelf space and had no towel hooks that could easily be reached from the shower. These small things made an otherwise wonderful room difficult to deal with. The restaurant seems to be a trendy spot and fills tables quickly. If you plan to have dinner there, I would recommend that you make reservations earlier in the day, otherwise you may not find a table.

If you appreciate Hafencity then this location is fine, and still quite near the center.

Internal light in reception, restaurant, room etc. typical halogen light: Sharp, narrow, and quite dark interior. If would have liked to have a more soft light in the interior.

The design aesthetics and friendly staff.

The cost of breakfast was too expensive and there was no facility to make tea and coffee in the hotel room.

The location at Hafen City

Room design is so cool, wall, furniture, decorations, light, shower, toilet everything, every detail is perfect. There is even a warm bag and a cute sheep to sleep with. Interesting books, mostly design/photography are available in the room. Can grab a book any time. I love the shower! The hotel restaurant is excellent. Food is so great that, I tried breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner there during my 3 days stay there. Staff are very nice and chilled too. 1st floor of hotel is an open space for reading, chatting, getting online, there are books, Mac computers free to use. Also nicely furnished. Great design!

A bit far from s-bahn station. Development is in progress at Hafencity. Heard that there would be a station nearby in the future.

Friendly Staff, excellent room, and location

Breakfast could have been better and be included in the room price.

The inside look of the hotel was fascinating, both lobby, restaurant and the room itself, inspired by the harbour and sailors. Very nice done.

The comfort of the only chair in the room was awful (steel chair all through). The bed was to hard for both of us. The restaurant served food that I would expect from a lousy canteen years ago, the breaded wienersnitzel was several centimetres high, but inside the meat was max 5 millimetre thick. Even food from McDonald is of a much higher standard. At breakfast, the supposedly soft boiled eggs were so hard boiled that they were green around the yolk. I'll go for another hotel in Hamburg next time.

Cool design in common areas. Consistent theme throughout with interesting ideas in various areas.

For the price range tea and coffee making facilities are usually provided in other establishments, but not here. Even toileteries like moisturiser is not provided.
