1) clean 2) very nice rooms for very good price 3) breakfast
1) at the reception with one word I was avoided 2) wi-fi was extremely poor in my room
The distance to the centre
-Room not ready -No parking available -No warning at the website fot the hughe parking costs -the Breakfast room in the cellar
close to tram station just 3-4 mins by walk Heating is perfect
no free wifi no wardrobe
The hostel is located in the very center of the city, yet in a calm street where one can get a good rest in the end of an active day. The staff is friendly and helpful, facilities are new and quite comfortable. Very good correlation between the price paid and service provided.
It is a hotel in combination with hostel in the same premises.
they required additional 3 euro for bedding and pillow sheets.
1. They charge every guest 3 euro for the bed sheet. How sick is that? 2. A bit far from city center. 3. There is a staff who showed appalling attitude despite being a service provider, she rolled her eyes to us. She is HORRIBLE. 4. Too expensive for such a room.
A&O hostel surprised me on Christmas ! I left this morning and have been wanting to write a review fot it :) It's my first to Germany, a friend lives in Colonge invited me for Christams, when I was browsing accomdation on booking.com,I found a deal offered by A&O, 71% off for the 2 days when I stayed. I firstly picked it because the cheap price, then I found positive reviews and high scores. It's very convenient, from the Colonge Bonn Airport, takes U-bahn(local metro) to The Dom(Koln hbf) station, I arrived at night with a big luggae,so I chosed to hire a taxi, it cost me 8.90 EUR, maybe a little bit more than 5 minutes ride. If you travel with small baggae, you can always take train to Neumarkt station, less than 10 minutes walk to the hotel. There's also Tram station near by. Shopping center, dinners,cafe,pubs...all you could think are on your fingertips and it's very quiet during night time. I highly recommended to you. Tonight, I am staying in another place close to the central station(hbf station), but it's very noisy and small, just 2 stops away from Neumarkt if i didn't make wrong, I think A&O is definate way better for rest after a long day. Next time, I will choose A&O again. Tips for future guests: 1. if you want to drink hot water, 10 EUR deposit , borrow one from the front desk 2. a 7 EUR cost will apply if you wish a late check out at 2pm
I have a twin room with private bathroom. Very nice, but somehow the mattress is a bit uncomfortable.I hope in the future, the hotel management team can make some improvements. The sponge base needs more to support human weights and rest the bones.
Lovely location. Convenient parking at a very reasonable price. Would go back in a heartbeat. We were on the hotel side and located next to lifts but hardly noticed them. Staff were friendly and helpful.
If i had to pick holes: lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room (but you can get from machine downstairs) and the towels were a bit small (but good enough to dry yourself after a shower). Like I said picking holes...... for 50 quid a night it was fine!
I understood that this was largely a hostel so I didn't expect much from it - just the basics for our needs (bed + linens, private shower and WiFi). The room itself was spacious for the two of us. The hostel is walking distance to the main shopping district, restaurants and in December, close to a number of Christmas Markets.
I understand that they're trying to be "green" but it would be nice to have the rooms vacuumed daily.
Within a 20min walk to the Dom and most things to see in Cologne. About eight minutes walk to the tram line. Two Christmas markets were close by - one at the end of the street. Good location.
Could be noisy - depending on how loud other guests were as it's part hotel / part hostel.
- location - room was clean
- window with view on thr staircase- in practise curtains needed to be closed all the time - kids bed was not done- we needed to do sheets etc by ourselves - you can not pay with card- onle cash- there is atm at reception though
Nothing! May be only a good location !
The dirtiest hotel I have ever been in my life.. Check-out at 10 am !! That was really very annoying !
Nice hotel, friendly staff
Rooms where simple and decent. Small bathroom and OK beds.
Biggest issue of this hotel is that its so freaking noisy. You could hear everyone from your room. From your neigborhours that were talking to people screaming/playing fussball in the lobby. Also cars and people that come near the hotel is very noisy..
Very good quiet area very close to the centre. Very easy to find and get to from the motorway. For the money it was great accommodation. Will stay here again
Rooms were tidy and there is everything you need. The location is in very good.
small rooms a lot of young people so its sometimes a bit noisy
Altogether, hotel is ok. Very basic, but at the same time clean, situated near the city center. Breakfast is also OK.
What we did not like is that we were told that our booking was cancelled by booking.com and they changed our rooms. We felt like being lied to.
The position of the hotel
The room is very small!
Perfectly located, big clean room
It's a place for very comfortable stay
The fair price. The good location of the hostel. The bar down at the reception was good and had good WiFi speed.
Too noisy! You can hear everyone in the night that makes a noise in the halls. You can even hear the elevator. WiFi connection was poor in the room. Also, the room smelled a bit strange.
