Breakfast very good.Staff friendly.

Uncomfortable beds.Lack of space in bedrooms.Poor bathroom-room 111.Room 411 better/newer.Room 111 smelled damp.Lack of lift not advertised.Staircase very difficult to climb with heavy case,particularly to room 411 at top of building-no assistance offered.

breakfast was oke and value for money. The location was alraight, it was near the train station and near city bikes

the night staff was unfriendly. they also switched the code for the night lock so it took a while for us to get in after going out

Very friendly staff. Excellent location, you could reach all important landmarks on foot.

It was within walking distance from the main train station but also very close to the harbour and the city center.

Very good hotel by all the parameters. They really have free wi-fi with a nice speed (was enough for a good skype video conversation). The breakfast was good too: everything that you need in the morning and more. The displacement in Hamburg is ideal. The hotel is behind one of the most expensive hotels in Hamburg. It is nearby (5 min) central railway station, but not to the east of it (where the most of the hotels are). The district to the east of the railway station is kinda unfriendly: Hamburg junkies, gays and so on. My German friend said to me that I have booked a really great hotel in term of cost, included services and displacement. The only disadvantage is the guy that works at night shifts: he speaks english badly and was unfriendly

The breakfast was ok and the fact that was quite close to the city centre around 15 mins walking distance, clean room .

The picture of the room presented on the site is nothing like the one we stayed in, stained carpet on the floor, very small bathroom with broken shower and a very old sliding door that didn't close properly and the fact that i requested a non smoking room and the room smelled very bad like cigarettes plus the smell of smoke that came from the other rooms in our's.Another down point was the fact that at 8 o'clock on a Sunday morning the cleaning woman knocked at our door insistent and when i opened she just said something in German and left.

we were moved to hotel continental, a little bit more near the hauptbahnhof. Location was good but the room very dark and quite small. Personnel tried to sell different kind of services. I was a little bit disappointed

Charming old building. The price was incredible - I got an internet deal for 29€, and it was worth much more. Front desk clerk was as friendly and helpful as any in a five star hotel.

Hardly any non-smoking rooms. I had to ask for a room that didnt smell like an ash tray. Breakfast service lacking, but for the price absolutely fine, and (most important for many) the coffee was scrumptous.
