Lack of coziness
Everything else was alright
Attitude of part of the staff during breakfast, they seemed to be focussed on another event coming up there. Quality of coffee at breakfast
- Friendly, helpful staff. Our baggage was misplaced by Lufthansa and the front office staff took a lot of effort to contact Lufthansa several times to ensure speedy recovery and delivery of my baggage; - Since we did not have warm clothes, they placed a room heater in our room; - They helped plan our sightseeing; - They helped order pizzas from a nearby outlet to be served in our room!
We were expecting a room with a view of the river Spree which we did not get ..... maybe next time!!
I like the bar.
Isn't what I see from the picture.
The location was good.
It was pricey and we didn't get the accommodations we had expected. When booking the family suite it stated there would be a double bed on the first floor and another double bed on the 2nd floor. Instead, we were given two beds pushed together on the 1st floor and a sofa and mini fridge were on the 2nd floor. Also, the TV didn't work.
We booked a double room and on arrival the room given was a twin. When pointed out to the staff in reception they upgraded us to a river view room with a queen sized bed at no additional cost. Apparently in Germany a double room can mean twin beds or a double bed. Make sure you specify on booking. We paid for breakfast for the 3 days we were there and thought it was well worth it. Fantastic buffet style breakfast with huge choice of hot, cold and continental style breakfast
There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.
excellent in a word
teo or coffe machine must
Beautiful riverside location near transit stops, friendly staff, interesting industrial building conversion. Excellent dining options both in-house and nearby.
The wifi was free but very slow. The room was oppressively warm and the AC seemed to make it worse. A bottle of water was positioned to look like a welcome gift, but a small sign noted that it would be charged at a price absurd even by minibar standards.
Location on River Spree. Close to rail station.
Wifi was very weak in rooms. Had to use hotel looby
Friendly staff, restaurant and bar
Lack of tea and coffee making facalities in room, poor for a four star hotel
Very friendly staff, checked up train times for us and generally helpful
For a four star hotel lack of tea and Coffey making facalities disappointing. Also complementary water would not go amiss for four star establishment
we stayed in 'maisonette', with my sister & two teenage girls, Comfortable, quiet. lovely area, pleasant staff, good english, close to public transportation, walking distance most places, beside Spree. Have recommended it to friends
nice size room pleasant staff allowed late check-out with no additional charge till 3pm provided early check-in free of charge provided 2 beds in room had mini-bar not far from restaurants, bus, metro when we found the first room to be in the second building meaning 2 elevators each entry/exit -immediately provided a second option, a closer room quiet
location was not in "Mitte" although it appears as so on the site, and on hotel confirmation air-conditioning barely worked twice sheets on bed had wholes toiletries (including liquid soap) were never refilled in 7 days no new to river
Great location in the center of Berlin with a beutiful view in the Spre. Great breakfast and on sunny days you can sit outside have a drink and watch the boots passing by.
Friendly, good location (close enough but away from the noise), clean, comfortable, great views (if you get a high floor front facing)
When asking various staff about ideas for food, where to go none of them were very good at giving recommendations or ideas - we were left to figure it ourselves
Beautiful setting on the river, great bar, easy to take subway into the heart of the city
Could not stabilize the room temperature (usually too hot)
all was well)))
Bar was ok,if you could get service and i was sitting at the bar.
Everthing old fashion, out of date. Old folks home.
Bottom floor in the family room heard a lot of noise from the neighbors.
Waterfront rooms are amazing, the view is great.
As most hotels it is a little bit too pricey.
The views of the River Spree were stunning! The hotel's location had easy walking access to many cafes, shops, and the Bellevue train station. A park with a proper playground for children was within 150 feet of the hotel, easy access for those with little ones. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The hallway leading to the Maisonettes needs soundproofing. We were awakened every morning by children running down the corridor - it was long enough to be too tempting to resist racing on! We could also hear conversations of people passing by in the hallway. Enough of a negative (due to repeated disturbances) to impact the "Comfort" rating I gave. I will stay here again, but not in a Maisonette.
Location, near river, nice view.
Expensive breakfast. Bad WiFi. Tv old style and small sized.
The only positive that I can see for this hotel is the location, which is on a lovely pedestrian stretch of the Spree and about a 5-10 minute walk to the subway. There is a large playground for children very close by as well.
We stayed in a family "maisonette" room, and I can promise you, there is no wifi in this wing of the building. I complained on the first evening that we were there, and they suggested coming to the main section of hotel, because the wifi might work better there, which it did. When I complained that I was disappointed that the wifi did not work in our room and that was a main reason I had chosen this hotel, he offered to move us. Only then did he realise that we were in a family room, and they don't have rooms big enough or available to accommodate us in the main building. So he could not moved us. Supposedly a technician was going to improve our service for the next day, but it still did not work. And the family rooms are so far from the main section of the hotel that I did not feel comfortable leaving my children in the room asleep at night and going to the lobby to check email, check weather and plan activities for our next day. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Also, please note that in the family "maisonette" rooms, the very large windows are on a slanted wall and the blackout shades do not work very well at all. Thus our room was quite lit all night, which also provided for a poor sleep experience.
The proximity to the park and to the S-Bann - literally 500 m. The beer tavern under the building. The excellent Conditorei coffee shop in proximity en route to the S-Bann.
I really wanted to like the place, but the service level is appaling! I booked a room, for which nowhere on the site was described that this is not really a "maisonette", but rather half of it was underground and there was a window at street level for the second floor. When I addressed the reception, instead of a solution to the issue I got a shrug and a proposal to move to a smaller room. No alternative proposals - why should they care.... Obviously I had to stay, since this was a "last minute" surprise! When I told them that they are going to get a very low rating, I got an "ok" and that was it. The wifi in the "maisonette" rooms is playing a hide and seek game all the time. A pity - the hotel can be nice otherwise. Stay away from this place until they fix their service (and room descriptions), unless you are feeling adventurous!
Location outstanding Very good family room
Breakfast room overly crowded, had to wait for a table but breakfast very good
