Prenzlauer Berg
Prenzlauer Berg is one of Berlin’s trendiest districts, with its lively bars, diverse restaurants and thriving art scene. Pay a visit to the Kollwitzplatz neighbourhood, where you will find the historic Wasserturm (water tower) and lots of stylish bars and restaurants. The adjacent Helmholtzplatz area is a great place to be on market days. Colourful boutiques and Berlin’s oldest beer garden - the Prater Garten, are located on nearby Kastanienallee.Alternatively, you can watch a show at the Kulturbrauerei (former brewery), which also is the starting point for organised cycle tours through Berlin. A stay in Prenzlauer Berg would not be complete without a visit to the Mauerpark (former site of the Berlin Wall), a popular meeting place during warmer months.

Loved the room - really a suite because enormous bathroom had a full sofa! Staff were extremely helpful and honor system for communal "mini- bar" was really nice. Breakfast buffet was very expensive (15 euros) but staff were very generous in charging us much less because we had only small amounts. Neighborhood is great - lively, great restaurants and fun shops. Hotel also has apartments; hence "family" designation above. Might have been nicer to stay within closer walking distance of tourist sites. Hotel is a 15-min walk or 1 quick tram ride to Aleksanderplatz - still quite close. But being in the thick of Prenlauer Berg really was fun. |

Great for leisure. Relaxed breakfast. Limited use for business travel. No aircon. No breakfast before 8.00 am. Hardly any personel. Wouldn't book it again. |

Das Hotel ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Es liegt verkehrsgünstig, mit der U-Bahn ist man direkt im Zentrum, aber eigentlich will man gar nicht dahin, weil das Haus und die Umgebung alles bietet: Ruhe, Erholung, Shoppen, Gastronomie; Parkmöglichkeiten sind öffentlich und kostenlos vorhanden. |
