Hotel Adagio    

10 minute walk to the central square of Leipzig. Quiet location. Clean and adequately equipped, breakfast OK, overall good value.

Cheap Low Quality Breakfast. The hotel is trying to save money in such an essential thing. I have been to many hotels worldwide, but never saw such low standard Breakfast.

Breakfast was quite ok and you can park your car to neighbour hotel Mercure's parking hall, price was 8€/day.

When we booked our "Deluxe Suite" the hotel was still advertising sauna facilities in their website and yet in the room also. Turned out that the information was dated and had apparently been so for quite a while, yet there was no apologizes when we asked about it. Our "Suite" was also a big disappointment, it was like timetraveling to the 80'S. With Adagio's prices you can really find better accommodation options in Leipzig.

Due to a rather spontaneous decision to visit Leipzig for the Xmas markets the last affordable available room I could find in the entire booked-up city was at Hotel Adagio. Which turned out to be really lucky as I would always book a room there again. The location of the hotel is fairly central, the rooms are clean and cosy, the staff is friendly and breakfast is included. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a decent and affordable place to stay.

Location 15mins walk from Leipzip town centre. Room clean, linen clean. Helpful reception staff on arrival.

Breakfast room a little dated in decor and little choice on offer. Underground car parking is available at the neighbouring Mercure Hotel which I would recommend using as the car parking outside the Adagio is cramped. We reseved a space and the cost per day is reasonable

The hotel is quiet and tastefully decorated with many original works of art. It attracts people of a certain type and quality, many of them, though not all, middle-aged. It's in a fine building of the 1880s that fell into disrepair in the latter years of the former German Democratic Republic. It was then bought by an enterprising lady in 1990 and turned into an hotel with the help of generous financing by the German government. Those interested in modern German history may find it a rewarding case study. The hotel isn't located in the city centre, but is not far away, 10 to 15 minutes' walk from the main rail station. The area was badly damaged by WWII bombing, and the hotel environment therefore displays a mixture of styles, from (well restored) late 19th century to GDR-utility. Again, interesting for those with a feel for history and an eye for architecture.

I found nothing to dislike about it.

Das Hotel wirkt von Einrichtung der Zimmer, und den Fluren her, etwas, wie ein Altersheim. Außerdem ist das Frühstücksbüffet wirklich sehr "übersichtlich".

Frühstück sehr einfach, aber preiswert. Kaffee schmeckte abgestanden und war nur lauwarm.

Der Frühstücksraum war recht eng, das Buffet nur schwer zugänglich und es war nicht immer alles da (O-Saft, heißes Wasser)

Prijs/kwaliteit was zeer goed

We werden zeer onvriendelijk onthaald om 21u17 met de mededeling dat ze eigenlijk geen gasten ontvangen op dat uur, terwijl er op de receptie duidelijk stond van 19u-22u check-in.
