Airport Hotel Kelsterbach

After reading some mediocre reviews of this hotel, I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. We had a triple room that was spotless and nicely renovated. The bathroom looked entirely new. Although near a major road, it was very quiet. Like most hotels in Europe, it had no airconditioning, but we did not expect that. The staff was very frindly. The hotel is close to the airport. We had a rented car and did not need a shuttle.

The breakfast was not included in the price and at 9 Euro per person was a bit steep.

no airconditioning (or ceiling fans) and it was very hot during our stay. Couldn't even open the window to get sufficient airflow. Was a double room and yet we had 2 single beds which were different heights and could not be properly pushed together to use as 1 bed. The bathroom was not completely clean (mould around the shower area and ceiling.) the exhaust fan was blocked and so did not work properly.

Was not able to access the internet. There was no AC in the hotel.

This is not an 'airport' hotel, it is too far, the taxi ride was 16 Euro and they charge 10 Euro for their limited shuttle service.

The staff was very accomodating and helped us out.

No elevator, small rooms, no air conditioning, hard beds

Way too expensive for the money paid. Also, the shuttle was not free and that is should be mentioned in the add and was unprofessional.

close to airport as I was departing early the next morning. The receptionist was very helpful. The shuttle bus to the airport was convenient.

when I asked about food in the evening there was none available in the hotel, I had to walk a good 15 minutes for a pizza takeaway. there is also no hairdrier in the room

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was efficient in assisting with airport shuttle reservations.

It's a bit of a walk from the S-Bahn station, and there wasn't much available in the way of explicit directions.

Proximity to FRA and price

Did not offer to include the shuttle cost. I was charged 15 euro on the way to hotel and hotel charged me 10 euro for an early morning ride to the airport. I felt overcharged on the way to hotel and wish the hotel would publish/charge a flat rate for shuttle service.
