Carat Hotel Frankfurt/Airport

In general, I just need a clean and quiet hotel to stay overnight for the flight next day. The hotel did provide this and also provided free shuttle to and back the airport. For the person who just need a tidy place to stay overnight, I would recommend it. However, I didn't have chance to try the food there.

Have stayed 6 times over 2 years. Staff always very helpful and professional. Shuttle is handy - must make reservation, however. Wireless Internet is free even if bandwidth is quite low. Breakfast is expensive 12E pp, but a very good buffet (most US folks do not spend $18.00 each for breakfast-even in a hotel). Hotel is quiet and good for sleeping at all hours if you come in jet-lagged or wish to hit the hay early for a 3:AM flight.Good hot shower 24 hours/day. Bar is good - cozy inside with a few nice tables outdoors for the warmer weather. Lots of local business people, as well as airline crews, frequent the bar and restaurant. A good value for 1 to 3 days either after, or before, flying in or out.

Not the most convenient place to Frankfurt - near airport. Restaurant is Mexican food (we have lived in Mexico, and now live half the year in Arizona, so we can say the food is not at all authentic) not bad however, just not authentic. German menu items much better. Hotel is remotely located in an industrial and commercial park. Convenient if you have car, but no village within walking distance. There is a mini-mart gas station close by, for water, morning pasties and coffee. The hotel, despite a nearly always full occupancy and apparently healthy revenues, has not put any money back into the decor or furnishings for years. Tired and worn carpets and walls, beds soft and saggy. Nevetheless, clean and relatively comfortable.

Is nice hotel, Good rate. Airport Shuttle is free.

The hotel was clean and efficently set-up. The staff were very helpful in checking our flight time and booking our airport shuttle. The buffet breakfast included unexpected extras such as fresh-squeezed fruit juice and smoked salmon.

The exercise room was being worked on 1.5 years ago but still has not been completed.

Receptionists are not bad.

Shower warter was not enough hot.

Hotel booked every seat on the airport shuttle, so there was no room and we had to travel with suitcases on our laps. Nothing nearby - going to downtown Frankfurt required a 15-minute walk or 5-euro taxi ride to the train station, then 20 minutes on a local train (3.70 euros each way or 14 euro for a group day ticket). Walldorf is a small town, although it did have several restaurants.

We stayed so we could arrive at the airport the next morning early with out driving for 3 hours
