Zeer rustig gelegen hotel in aangename streek. Menu is nogal beperkt. Snelheid van de keuken is raar: soms moet je 1 uur wachten en soms vliegen de gerechten ongezien snel op je tafel. Eerlijkheidshalve moet ik zeggen dat we geen half pension hadden maar steeds de vrije keuze gerechten bestelden.

Die Lage in wunderschöner Natur - unangebrachte Behandlung durch das Hotelpersonal ("Sie kommen ja von Booking, deswegen ist Ihr Zimmer ohne Balkon...") - die präsentierten Fotos online lassen das Hotel in einem besseren Zustand erscheinen, als es letztlich ist (über Geschmäcker kann man streiten, aber Bilder an der Wand mit Preisschildern haben unser Maß überschritten) -> wie es zu dieser Bewertung kommt können wir nicht nachvollziehen - die 4 Sterne Wertung können wir uns nicht erklären - die Servicekräfte waren nicht gut

Die Lage nahe des Nationalparkes Bayerischer Wald Das gute gastronomische Angebot am Abend Leider erfüllte das Hotel nicht unsere Erwartungen an ein 4Sterne-Haus. Es handelt sich bei dem Hotel Activ-Residenz um ein 2-3 Sterne Haus; so fehlte z.B der Aufzug, das Schwimmbad is sehr klein, die Fitnessgeräte (Laufband) waren zT defekt. Die Auswahl von frischem Obst ließ beim Frühstücksbüffet zu Wünschen übrig.

Erfüllt insgesamt den Erwartungen. Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich. Abendessen inc. Bedienung war gut. Aufgebackene Semmeln schmeckt man sofort raus. Ich finde man sollte auch dem einheimischen Bäckerhandwerk eine Chance geben. Im Saunabereich war die Ablage hinter dem Wasserbett (von der Sauberkeit her) nicht dazu geeignet meine Brille dorthin zu legen.
