It has a great location, five minutes' walk from Museum island and just steps from three of the city's four fast and efficient transport systems (the S-bahn, tram and bus lines) and only a few blocks from the U-bahn. The entire city is easily accessible from there and the staff is very helpful in figuring out routes, reservations and tickets. Staff in general were excellent. Room lighting is modern in design but not functional. No lamps or light near the easy chairs for reading, and the gooseneck reading lights on the bedboard were dangling and broken. (Staff went out of their way to find us other lamps to read by after we complained, but repairing the bed lamps before re-letting the room would have been the right way to do it.) Breakfast was way overpriced at 17E per person. Asked to recommend a moderately priced French restaurant, one young woman concierge sent us to the grotesquely expensive Margaux (174E per person for four courses), clearly an expense-account place for nearby embassies, not for middle-aged US tourists. The hotel has a modern, classy three-star veneer but other hotels offer more for less. |

Great location. Room was OK, best part was quality bed linens. Hotel's single elevator was out during most of the weekend. In the rooms, the reading lights didn't work, we had to request bathrobes, the bathroom amenities (e.g. soap) were scarce, and there's no turn-down service. |

I liked the room, the restaurant and the perfect service from the staff at the reception The lift was out of order. I had to walk to my room 514. It was a big problem because of my bad legs. |

Good location, courteous and helpful staff; clean, bright, airy room; comfortable bed; quiet at night. My room faced a construction site; it was noisy during work hours, including Saturday. Bathroom was small and poorly lit. |

The breakfast was very good, all services room, desk and others were excellent and the situation near Alexander Platz is an advantage because all kinds of transport (bus, subway, tram, train) were near. We had rooms with simple beds. The beds was not very large to be very confortable. |

The steam room & sauna are very nice & the breakfast is satisfying. There was a lot of noise early one morning from construction across the street. Other than that the stay was nice. At check out the desk clerk tried to charge additional fees of 40 euro, saying that there was a price increase. I refused to pay it, because we paid through Bookings.com in full in advance. The clerk wasn't very pleasant. |

Location is good and convenient for sightseeing and public transport. Pleasant rooms and decor. Helpful staff. Noise from nearby building construction, starting at 7.30am. Very important to get a room facing away towards the central courtyard. |

It was close to the office where I had business meetings. There was not enough light in the rooms during the night. Two bulbs were broken. |

its position is probably the best you can get in Berlin, within walkin distance of everything you want to see and do the blinds let in too much light and the massive building project right outside our window which started at 7am and finished at 7pm |
