The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were most obliging and helpful. The Alpen is very close to the old town centre of Munich and very convenient to the train station as well. It is walking distance from most of the tourist sites. The breakfasts are excellent and we ate twice in the restaurant for dinner too as the food and service was excellent. We would stay here again as value for money the hotel was very good. The close surrounding area was a bit colourful to say the least! The red light area is just around the corner.!

I spent 2 nights there last year and. Came back because it is well located and has friendly and helpful staff and the food and service is good. I would use the hotel again on my next visit to Munich See above

The hotel is close to the old town centre of Munich and very convenient to the train station. It is within walking distance of most of the tourist sites with plenty of places to eat nearby. The breakfasts were very good with ample variety. The staff were friendly and welcoming. A comfortable hotel and good value for money. The close surrounding area was a bit colourful to say the least! The red light area is just around the corner.! Although in a quiet street, the red light area is just around the corner. When you exit the hotel remember to turn left to avoid it!

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with size of the room as well as the new condition of the facilities. Fantastic bathroom with heated floors. Very nice breakfast with eggs to order and a large selection that would appeal to any traveler. A friendly staff. The mattress and bed linens could have been better.

It was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept at the hotels. Wonderful location - in the very center, but on the quiet street. Helpful staff on the reception. Breakfast was good. Not too many dishes, but everything was fresh and even 5 min till the end of it you still could have smth. Shampoo, shower gel were at my bathroom only once, right after check in. After I used them they never appeared again...

We stayed at the Alpen during Octoberfest. The hotel was convenient to everything in the area. All within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. It is a very quaint hotel with excellent staff and perfect location. We were in a room near the elevator in which you hear everyone's comings and goings all evening.

Room was clean and tidy as you would expect. Although a 4 star hotel its facilities were more like a 3 star hotel and very basic. It advertises a bar and restaurant although during are stay these were closed. Price against facilities makes this expensive and there are 3 star hotels with same facilities that are cheaper E.G. Hotel Daniel.

Ideally located close to old city and transport facilities. Nice and service minded staff The hotel management should consider upgrading the staircases and floor outside the guest rooms. Also consider new doors to guest room (more noiseproof doors would inprove guests impression of the hotel)
