The hotel staff was accomodating and the food was good. The location is a bit remote but in a lovely setting. The hotel was very quiet. Reception area was dark when we arrived and hotel was very dimly lit. However, this was the "off" season. |

The hotel was way up in the mountains with little around it; very nice for a quiet, romantic trip. It was a quaint hotel with a beautiful view, and was not far from the road that takes you to the busses for the Eagle's Nest. The roads to the hotel were very narrow. The restaurant was closed (which we knew) but there were no other restaurants within walking distance. The staff were not child friendly. |

The room was a good size and the baby bed was ready when we arrived. Friendly staff and beautiful location. No walking trails in the immediate vicinity, but there was ample outdoor activity within close proximity. Overall good location, but just realize it is a bit of a drive outside of Berchtesgaden. Not as bad, though, as the other reviews say. Don't need a GPS to get there. |

The location and views were outstanding. While the facilities were potentialy excellant the unavailability of the residents bar curtailed the chance to socialise. When I asked the staff they said they would only open the bar if there were enough residents.... In the publicity on the website there was mention of excursions to various places in the area but I am afraid there was no obvious sign of this at the hotel. The food at the hotel, the evening meal in particular were not what I would expect from such an establishment. |

The hotel was an 80´s timewarp with a magnificent view to the front. The hotel appeared to be partially closed, it was dark in the public areas - the lights were turned off and the bar was closed. We had dinner one night and it was pretty poor. This would have been the opportunity for the hotel to demonstrate how good the food could be, after all there were only three couples staying in a fairly large hotel. |

Being the only guests in a snowbound mountain hotel may not be everyones idea of a great time (the family in The Shining spring to mind) but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was fairly easy to find at the top of a steep and narrow alpine road and we were immediately made to feel welcome. We were in a corner room with two windows so very bright and also an all round balcony. Nothing, however, this is an alpine hotel in rural Bavaria. The staff speak english but not a huge amount and it is quite a drag into town (approx €30 return by taxi) so your own transport is essential. |

We loved the hotel and the location up in the Alps. The view was amazing from our room. We couldn't have been happier. The staff and the food were excellent. We would definately stay here again. We are Americans living in Germany. The beds were a little hard for our liking. |

Het hotel is heel centraal gelegen in een zeer rustig dorpje, vanaf de kamer een adembenemend uitzicht. Het is van alle gemakken voorzien en straalt ook rust uit. |

Die Lage des Hotels in den Bergen ist phantastisch, auch die Ruhe war sehr erholsam.Wir hatten ein tolles Zimmer im alten bäuerlichen Stil.War mal was anderes.Nur die Betten haben entsätzlich geknarrt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und gab sich große Mühe. Das Hotel hat ein tolles Schwimmbad.Leider ist es nur bis 19Uhr geöffnet.Da wir meistens später von unseren Ausflügen kamen,konnten wir es nicht mehr nutzen.Abendessen gibt es leider nur von 18,30Uhr-19.30 Uhr. |
