This 4-star hotel is set by the scenic Spitzingsee lake, high up in the Bavarian Alps. It offers a modern spa and beauty area, 2 restaurants, and great views.

The rooms of the Arabella Alpenhotel offer wooden décor, bright colours, and balconies with a mountain view.

The Alpenhotel's spa includes different saunas, a hot tub, and a baby pool. The fitness room provides panoramic lake views. Wellness treatments are also available.

Anonymous Mature couple Germany November 22, 2011	Wir haben die Region und das Hotel ausgewählt, um zu relaxen, schließlich will das Hotel ein hydeaway sein. Es war ein kompletter Reinfall : nur einen Parkplatz jwd bekommen, dann an der Rezeption wegen Überfüllung nur noch ein Zimmer im Nachbarhaus ( ---> langer unterirdischer Gang durch die Katakomben ins Hauptgebäude )nach hinten raus zu Straße bekommen. Zustand des Zimmers nicht 4 Sterne entsprechend : Staub auf den Ablagen, Spinnweben an der Decke, abgestoßenes Holz an den Möbeln, kleiner und veralteter Fernseher, Duschvorhang ! und richtig warm ist es nicht geworden. Viel zu kleiner Spa-Bereich für die Massen, die sich dort drängen. Entsprechend geht es im Restaurant zu: reine Massenabfertigung. Gutes Frühstück, Mittagessen vom Buffet eher Standard. Seminarräumlichkeiten prima, Kaffee und Getränke satt. Kleinigkeiten zu essen ... Toll. Ich hätte mir gewünscht, ab und zu nur ein Gericht a la Carte essen zu können. So war man gezwungen außerhalb zu essen. Ein schönes Hotel mit schönem Zimmer, und tollem Wellnessbereich mit Pool, Whirlpool, 3 Saunen, Dampfbad und Ruheliegen mit super Aussicht über den See und auf die Berge. Beim Frühstück war das Buffet teils leergeräumt und wurde nicht aufgefüllt. Es war insgesamt sehr chaotisch und ungemütlich. Die Mitarbeiter wirkten überfordert und unfreundlich. “perfect, it has 5***** and in fact they should have an extra + to them. All things where as they should or could be, and even better! Restaurants, spa and pool (25 m+). All four(!) restaurants and the breakfast too, are great. Next to that, personnel and the staff, act like real people and not like living statues in a 'Heimat' uniform. They are always friendly, give personal attention and ready to assist, if you need them. Next to being a great and splendid hotel, the surroundings are also ideal; you have a great view on the Tegernsee. The centre of Munich, the castles of Ludwig II (Neuschwanstein, Linderhoff, Herren Chiemsee) are all within a reasonable distance. The village itself is also nice and has all the shops your wife can think off”
