Nothing wrong for such a price in Berlin
the room walls are newly painted
1- an untidy entrance with a rude receptionist that does not give any information until you ask her. 2- on our first day of arrival there was no hot water to take our shower 3- they do not give nor sell any water for drinking nor hot water for coffee, they only have water for tea on breakfast 4- the drainage system in the hotel is horrible, it is smelling at all times in the toilet and room, the water does not flow from the sink nor bakadush, it takes time 5- drainage lines leak on the car parking and cars parked there 6- untidy parking with waste bins all over the parking lot, in addition you have to pay 9 Euros for overnight parking. The receptionist took the money and then asked "what do you expect more from me" in such a rude way when we were waiting for her to show us where the parking lot is 7- breakfast soo poor, just cheese, jam, butter and cornflakes with tea, coffee and orange juice. 8- smelling floors wet carpets and smoke what a horrible experience i had in such a 3 STAR hotel... i really do not know how in Germany 3 stars are ranked.
I was looking for an economical hotel within walking distance of attractions, this fit the description. Nothing was fancy but clean and in good condition. Breakfast was pretty good. If I'd been looking for female companionship that was available about a block away, also if I'd been interested in the strip club next that was very convenient. Notwithstanding these things the neighborhood felt safe and I slept well, no problems with noise on a Saturday night.
I had a fairly early flight and cold water didn't work in the shower so I just splashed a bit, that was kind of disappointing. I felt like it would have been addressed if I had time to deal with it.
- location is very good. next to U2- Kurfurstrasse stop - very close to market, restaurants, metro station. - Very good housekeeping.
-bad wireless ( only on reception) -striptease Club next to hotel -Staff doesn't smile -elevator is very old, noisy. You shouldn't use.
The hotel was very basic but comfortable enough. we came for my daughter to compete in the marathon so only slept there and slept well. Room was 203 at the back of the hotel. Casino next door and strip club the other side but weren't kept awake. Quite central for travel and site seeing. Breakfast was rolls and breads with meats, cheese, yogurts, cereals, bread, eggs tea and coffee and juices.
No frills at all
Location is perfect for Postdamer platz, check point Charlie etc. The cheapest central i could find I'd you're not pretentious and you're on a budget is Ok
Main street do very loud, need ear plugs Next to a strip club Very tiny rooms and dated No internet in rooms Not great value given the money it costs but still beats paying over 60eur elsewhere!
Location of the hotel was good. Breakfast was okish with okish selection of from the buffet. The hotel could have been cleaner but you get what you paid for.
Customer service doesnt exist at this hotel. The reception staff was so ignorant, when you approached them they totally ignored you. Wifi didnt work for 3 days out of 4 and when asked the staff, they kept showing me username and password. TV didnt work for 36 hours, when reported at the reception, I was told they raised it to the maintenance person.
To much noise from club...
Nice location. Good breakfast.
Placed in centre of Berlin. Clean room. Nice co-operation of receptionist. Healthy n heavy breakfast. Really cheap in Berlin.
No wi-fi in room, always have to come downstairs to connect. Not satisfactory outside view. Limited plug point for chraging purpose.
Breakfast good Nice staff
oldfashioned room dirty carpet no cups in the bathroom room was in the noisy street no air conditioning
No wifi in room
The only positive is that the place is 15 min walk from the Potsdamer Platz.
The hotel is located in a very noisy street and the windows are old, so it's hard to sleep at night. There is a strip club next door and the area doesn't feel safe. The building is very old and poor and needs a proper renovation. The rooms were worn-out and shabby, with dirty carpets and stained walls. The rooms and corridors were smelly. No wifi available in the rooms. The breakfast was very basic, same eggs and sausages every morning. The reception staff spoke Russian and didn't care at all about the hotel guests. On top of that they were rude. The cleaning lady seemed very frustrated and angry. She was extremely rude and was shouting at people at the breakfast in Russian language. The rooms were too expensive for such low/no quality. I would never go back there again. Stay away from that place.
Price was very reasonable for Berlin. It is easy to get there from Tegel - I've just walked from main railroad station of Berlin. It is easy to reach any place in the center on foot. There is a shop working until 22-00 nearby (5 minutes). Breakfast is good and included into price. Russian speaking personnel. There is parking - you can leave your car and go sightseen on foot.
Repairing was made there a long time ago. But is was OK for me. If you need just B&B - it is for you. If you like super comfortable staying in Berlin - choose another one.
Good location. Clean bedclothes, towels and bathroom.
Dirty carpets and walls, flying bugs in the bathroom, smelly corridors, no wifi option in the rooms, rooms are hot in the summer, opening the window let the whole noisy street inside, that you can hardly talk. So it is horrible, but if you don't want to spend more money on a hotel, at least the bathroom and the bed is clean...
Good location, reasonable price, parking facilities, good meal during the breakfast, flexible staff.
No internet in the rooms, old fashioned rooms, poor TV set, remote control need to be taken in reception.
About the safety
The location is easy to reach and near to quite a few interesting places.
Breakfast is very poor - coffee is not at all good (slightly coffeed water), scorns not fresh, sausage below standard, personnel not helpful. No glasses in the room, cups for cleaning teeth not washed/cleaned probably since several month. TV quality is poor!
We had stayed at the hotel before and liked the central location. This time we had booked tickets for a concert at the Philharmonie and the hotel is just 2 bus stops away. Breakfast was fine and it is good that you have a place to park your car even though the access is rather steep.
good location, good breakfast and new room
priece is expencive for this hotel
receptionist was good to me and after first slepless night in the room with windows to the main (noisy) street changed my room to the back yard , what actually didn`t help-(( ..... .
primary requirement to a hotel is possibility to sleep over night. Breakfast /proximity to sightseeings/wifi/etc are secondary things. This hotel can not offer you a good sleep at all. Windows are so poor that through all the night you can hear cars, busses, music from the bar downstairs like as the window is completely open . The street hotel located on is quite busy so it is never silent and never dark (curtains are also poor). they say they have just few room backyards, but in case you stay there for a weekend - this won`t help either , because of disco/strip bar is next door and even at another side of the building you`ll hear very noisy music till the morning. So our great impression of Berlin was completely crushed as we couldn`t get rest during th enight. The hotel as such is very old an dirty. Rooms are very uncomfortable, dirty , bathrooms are poorely organized. Breakfast was basic.
