The hotel is an easy walk to the Messe! The breakfast buffet is very good. The staff is friendly, and the beds are comfortable.
Our room did not have a toilet; we had to go down the hall for the toilet and shower. This made our stay a little more like being in a Youth Hostel.
closeness to fair
bed not comfortable, noise from other toilet's flush, breakfast outside premises, only one shower towel,
cosy and clean bedrooms staff politeness cleanliness of shared bathrooms
The bed was comfortable.
Poor location - not the place for a solo female traveller. Light bulbs fused in the room. Broken tiles in the shower room. Unpleasant smell in hall and stairway. No plates or seats available at breakfast and very little food and no milk for cereal. One member of staff unable to cope with unacceptable workload.
We actually had two separate rooms, because we had 7 people. Both rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast food was very nice with a good selection.
Our rooms were on opposite floors of the hotel, one was on the very top, with no elevator to get there, just lots and lots of stairs and the other was on the ground floor. The wireless in the room on the ground floor was little to non existent, but it worked great in the room on the top floor. Even though the breakfast was nice, it was not in our hotel building, but about a 3 min walk around the corner and down the street.
The hotel was fine, breakfast could be better - more to choose from, but the localisation is great, really close do Messe, only reason to come there again.
Humble breakfast, not comfortable enough, wi-fi breaks from time to time.
Recepcionist Sacsha deserved to work in other hotel(minimum 4****)
breakfast is in another building. Also, avoid room close to stairways-you will not sleep at all-noisy!
The hotel is well located near the metro station and bus stops in downtown Cologne. The Dom is not far, just in the other side of the river. The bedroom was clean and the bed were comfortable.
The sound isolation is not very good and we have walked up in the middle of the night because of the noise in the other room. People talking in the surrounding rooms are clearly listened. Parking is also a problem. There is a recommended garage near by, but it is expensive and you can park on the streets only for a short time. It would be great if the hotel could manage some sort of partnership with so e parking lot to reduce the fee for guests.
It's not worth the price and I feel really strange for being asked to pay some kind of fee as like culture fee. I felt regret to book the hotel.
Staff and breakfast
Rooms toooooo small, not so clean, need renovation.
There was not one thing I liked about this hotel
Out of all the cheap budget hotels my partner and I have stayed in Europe your hotel was the worst. When we first arrived in the location where the hotel was we couldn't find it, as the name of the hotel is not on the front sign it just says hotel. Once we arrived we were told to pay $12 euro for secure parking.. The "secure parking" was not very secure and was in my opinion not worth the money. Or room was average but there were sounds which sounded like mice or some something like that. The aircon was also a large square box which took up half the room with a funnel as will which smelt. As for the breakfast what breakfast? When my partner and I arrived to have breakfast there was just a few pieces of cheese left and once piece of meat and that was it. There was no one bringing out new food that was it. We ended up leaving without having breakfast and paying for it.. Most expensive breakfast I have had so far. If anyone was planning on staying in this hotel I would not recommend this hotel.. It's is a fair distance from the city but also it's just not a nice place at all..
The hotel is very close to a subway station and Köln Messe-Deutz train station. The rooms are small and the queen size bed was placed against the wall on one side. The rooms were clean and tidy. There was WiFi but it didn't always work well. The tv was modern (hdmi) and worked well.
The ground floor of the part of the hotel were we stayed smelled a bit stale. No private bathroom.
Deutz is a nice area to get around Cologne. within 5 minutes of the Rhein and tube stops, lots of local amenities. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was cheap if added separately, and a good selection available. Good WiFi connection. A good nights sleep.
The location of the hotel was very nice - it takes 5 minutes by walk from train station. The price was also very good for short trips
The wifi doesn't work good so bad Staff at the hotel is very bad and uncooperative
£110 for 3 nights - unbeatable value for a decent hotel in a part of Cologne frequented by locals but still only a 15 minute walk to everywhere! The free fresh fruit, cookies and sweets at reception and complimentary mineral water in the room were nice touches.
Wasn't overly impressed by early wake up by housekeeping, but putting out the do not disturb sign the night before helped! The reception isn't manned 24hours which prevented my midnight raid of the boiled sweets. All in all not a bad place, I'd recommend for the price and for Beata the landlady of the pub on the corner!!
The location - close to city centre. Free wifi. Free fruit, cookies and water. Nice staff Very good breakfast although not included (7,5 €) Nice common area
The bed! Our double bed sloped inwards which meant we had to cling to the edges. The bed was also lodged into a corner so it was only possible to exit on one side. Bathroom was kinda dark and old (but clean). Staircase was narrow (no elevator) Stained, old carpet in the room.
Near the center breakfast( although it was in a different building) Comfortable beds
Card was blocked almost a week
3 out of 5 staff members encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful; particularly the cleaner! Breakfast was great, with a large variety to choose from, even for vegetarians. Great location and value for money. Very clean and well-kept.
Lack of air conditioning in rooms meant they were rather hot and stuffy. Problems during checkout- one staff member was unaware of hotel policies which made things difficult/ delayed our journey. I would advise guests to take a printed copy of their booking confirmation in Euros as I was asked to pay $11 more than my booking price 'due to city tax' which was included! This was resolved but left us feeling unhappy with our stay.
nice location and living facilities，and sweet welcome biscuits.
not far for sight seeing in town
Very cheap alternative for a private room.
Window didn't go wide because of the bed
very nice hotel, good location, only 15 minites to the old town and tourists places. clean and comfortable bed.
Near public transport and laundary service.
Not having a lift and having to carry your suit case up the stairs. The reception leaves at 11:00pm and after that time if there are any issues there isnt anyone to help you. The tv was very small and not able to see it well. The breakfast was not at the hotel you had to walk to another hotel and eat it there.
