Is located right on the central square. We had a room facing the central church. The staff are nice. They also have a garage for bicycles. The breakfast is a very generous buffet.

The interior of the rooms is a bit dated

Although on our reservation we had asked for a room with a balcony, we didn’t realize (or pay enough attention to the amenities listed) that this hotel does not have any. When we checked-in, the lady at the desk apologized for not being able to give us balcony room, but then gave us a room that had an private outdoor patio that was actually larger than the room. We couldn’t have been more pleased to be placed in that wonderful room as “consolation”.

The bed was hard and pillows are small. But, that's Germany. After 30 days in a variety of hotels, we started to get used to it.

Location in the Altstadt was nice. It's an old historic building. Breakfast was good. Room was good size. Nice view from window. Had secure bicycle storage.

Rooms are dated. Mold in the shower. Musty smell. Room security non-existent because it was just a skeleton key.

In morning the women in reception was very kind. So the Schongau Village was.

When we arrived at evening, the girl in reception was a bit unlikeable.

This hotel is on the attractive old town square, close to the beautifully decorated church. There is a garage for bikes if you're cycling the Romantic Road. There was a good wifi signal in the room, and wifi was free. There was a very good breakfast and this was available from a good early time. I enjoyed my stay here.
