Family run, friendly, beautiful old building, quirky decor, home cooked meal, best sleep in a very comfy bed, lots of toiletries to choose from, breakfast in the restaurant was good. Great value for money.....

Lots of flies, but they have followed us through Germany, only hand towels available, but we got 2 each, so all good.

Host, Frau Bes is very helpful. Location is good.

Poor wifi connection. Breakfast could be better.

Great staff and the food was good.

There were flies all over the dining room. We walked to another restaurant that had the same amount of flies so we went back and ate.

Friendly hostess; pleasant room in village centre. Very well situated for Ludwig's castles, Oberammergau, and the Zugspitz. Easy parking. Evening meals a plus.

The rainy weather, but that was just bad luck.

Good location just of the main road on our way from Munich to Italy. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and spacious, the heating was working properly. The breakfast was ok. A good value for the money and good choice for a one night stay.

The common areas (lobby, restaurant etc.) were a little shabby. The restaurant was big, but they were not serving anything - looked like it is simply closed for having a drink or meal.

The staff was really kind. The room was big, comfortable, warm and clean. Shower was hot. Wifi a little bit weak. Breakfast was yummy! And the village is cute and not far from Garmish. Recommended

Not the best wifi I used. Nothing else!

The landlady and her daughter are very friendly and helpful. The daughter speaks excellent English. The food is basic and very Bavarian but fairly good. The rooms are immaculately clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding for the price. The bar/breakfast room is a very pleasant room. We have returned - the value for money is difficult to beat.

It is a shame that the outside seating area is very "beer garden" and there is nowhere more comfortable to sit outside in good weather - the seating area inside is comfortable and books etc are provided but when it is 30c you don't want to be inside! The bedrooms would be nicer with thick curtains - there were only nets in our room - so you are awake early. Beware - rural life in Eschenlohe starts very early: loud conversations outside at 5am and the bells for morning milking at 5.30! The rooms are on the (European) second floor and there is no lift - quite a lot of stairs!
