Very nice venue, rustic and quant. also convenient as it is located in the middle of the town.
Wi fi was a shocker. apparently they have tried to do something about it and they cannot get it right, which I find really strange. The shower is really tiny and if you tall mind your head as you might knock your self out.
This was a really good hotel for us and in a good location. Sorry we were not scheduled to stay there longer. As its name suggests, it is a very old place yet well maintained and beautifully appointed. Very helpful staff. Lovely friendly town. Oldest place I've ever stayed in. Outstanding.
Just the prolonged noise of those loud car beeping football fans going round the town celebrating after Germany won the World Cup semi-final. No fault of the hotel of course.
Good location and very friendly staff.
Rooms have a low sealing so you can't be too big and a really small bathroom
Central location. Very pleasantly fitted out. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel restaurant is excellent.
No parking at the hotel. The bathroom was unfeasibly small. Bath only 1.4m long and the angle of the wood beam ceiling which comes straight down to the side of the bath makes it completely impossible to stand to shower and difficult to even sit in and get in and out of. The weather was very hot and with no air con, the least they could do is provide a fan. I get the feeling we were given this room as we got a good deal on the internet. It would have been good customer service to make us aware of the small bathroom when we booked. There were definitely other rooms empty while we were there with more normal configuration.
proximity to the railway station for my convenience and staff extremely helpful with all of my questions/requests for information such as booking taxis etc.
Everything. Well run hotel, excellent staff, fabulous food, would stay again if in the area, would recommend to friends and family.
The bathroom is too small
Shower is a bit small for anyone over 5ft 6in
The staff was very attentive and friendly. The room was smallish but very cosy and romantic. The breakfast was sufficient with warm dishes prepared a-la-carte on Sunday. Overall kitchen was really good - we have had a dinner as well.
Lovely old building with an interesting history with rooms full of character. The room was spotlessly clean and beds comfortable. A safe place to leave the bikes was also welcome.
Breakfast was expensive at Euros 7.50 a head and very disappointing. Tinned fruit salad which was rather tasteless and we had to ask for yoghurt to go with it. There was also a limited choice of meat/cheese. It would have been nice to make it clear that you could order eggs. We asked for and did get scrambled eggs which were nice but I suspect many people went without.
A beautifully small hotel in a very quaint town. We went there because my relatives came from this area a long time ago. Off the tourist track so the town was very quiet and peaceful. I would recommend this town if you want peace and quiet
At one stage we were the only people in the hotel. There weren't even any staff and we found ourselves locked in. Eventually we managed to open the front door and o outside for dinner ad we had a code to get back inside.
