Probably the most enjoyable stay of our two week trip; we slept in the guest house and everything from parking to room quality to breakfast to staff attentiveness was all top notch.
Would like to try the "main" house next time.
Good location, close to Cochem with free parking. Very nice view on the Mosel. Nice breakfast. Owners very friendly.
We liked everything about this place. It was a great stay.
If you rely on the train for your transportation, the hotel is about a good 20 to 25 minute walk away. This didn't bother us but I can see how some people would find this difficult.
We enjoyed a nice-sized room. The view over a lower roof was unspectacular, but not really a problem. Breakfast was pretty typical of other small hotels we've experienced in Germany.
Altes Winzerhaus & Gästehauswas perfectly located with a ten minutes walk into Cochem. The personal was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was exceeding our expectations by far and I can warmly recommend to stay at this hotel.
I great place to stay. Staff welcoming and helpful. What a beautiful town.
Quiet, modern and clean, good parking. Didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment on that.
We liked everything..
We stayed in the annex down the street. The room was immaculate and nicely furnished in a modern style. Bed very comfortable and had the white duvet covers that I like---makes me feel good that the bedding has all been laundered. The bathroom, like the room, looks new. Wonderful shower The stairs were wide and had large landings half way between floors. The room had a French balcony which means there was no actual balcony but the French doors opened up to enjoy the river view. There is a cute little park along the river in front of the hotel. The area is quiet and the walk to the town center is easy and enjoyable. I am so glad we did not stay in the town center with the tour busses and crowds. There are nice restaurants close to the hotel. We ate in the one next door and enjoyed its river view, food, and wonderful service. Breakfast at the hotel had nice choices. We were able to sit on the balcony outside, although the inside was nice as well. Secure parking under the annex was an added bonus. I had been disappointed that a room in the main building was not available. I am glad there wasn't. I would choose a river view in the annex without hesitation!
We wished we had stayed here for an extra day. It was much more peaceful than the Rhine.
- Amazing view from the balcony (castle view) - Great breakfast included - The best hotel from the whole euro trip - Friendly hotel owner - Free parking space - Clean hotel - Large room
- None so far
The location is good and not too far from centrum. The view is to the river which is also beautiful. The supermarket is just next to the hotel. The room that we have is an apartment with 2 bedrooms, very cleans with very nice kitchen
After a week travelling in Europe this was the first place that had the facilities for making coffee in the room. The room was one of the most comfortable and clean that I have stayed in, and the location is spot on
Great View that is just off the beaten path to be out of congestion.
Could use much better lighting getting up to rooms and in hallways. A circular staircase that was not safe.
clean comfortable rooms
no lift!!! we were on the 3rd floor a struggle with the cases.
All aspects of my stay
Only had one night.
The room was a decent size. The Bathroom was decent sized. The bed was comfortable The river view from the balcony was nice. The Wifi was excellent, strong signal and always on. Great position for location the village.
The Décor is a little dated.
Everything. The apartment was fully equipped, decorated nice and cozy. Very friendly staff.
Nothing at all.
Everything was almost perfect. A nice hotel with pleasant hosts.
The only thing that was not great was that the WiFi network had low signal strength. More routers in some places would probably help make up the network.
The staff are very friendly, efficient and helpful. Clean rooms and comfortable beds, excellent view of the Mosel from our family room. It's about a ten minute walk into Cochem center, but it's a lovely and enjoyable stroll along the river. Outstanding coffee and continental breakfast, plus beers in the evening on the terasse.
The WiFi could use a boost!
th cleanliness of our room and the hotel in general..The very friendly staff ..A very good breakfast selection ,and always being replenished .A 10-15minuet walk into Cochem along the river Mosel before dinner.
Our room No19 balcony overlooked a builders yard ,just a visual thing .....
Excellent, cannot fault anything. Breakfast was very good and the holiday flat was very well furnished.
Comfortable room with a nice view of the mountain. Breakfast was excellent and the host was very welcoming
The town of Cochem is beauty overload. Altes Winzerhaus overlooks the Mosel with friendly staff and a great breakfast out on the terrace. A small supermarket right next door and free parking attached to the guesthouse.
Smokers on the terrace
The breakfast is good and the area for it has a good view to the Mosel, with a terrace. Personal is kind and profesional.
The rooms in the back side of the hotel have views to a parking area and the buildings not so nice. The bathroom needs some update, rooms are very basic decorated and the aisle that distribute the rooms is not welcoming at all. Having not too many rooms the hotel should be more friendly. Only reception and lunch area is well decorated.
We stayed in the guest house which was beautifully decorated and well laid out. We had rooms on the front overlooking the river and with a great view of the Schloss. Excellent selection at breakfast and the owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming. We travelled by motorcycle so it was great to have a secure and undercover parking space.
Nothing, all was excellent.
