Reception was pleasant and breakfast was good for this standard of hotel. I stayed at this hotel for one night on May 17th 2011 during a Trade show - €195 for a small single room is very expensive but the room allocated was at the bottom of a noisy creaking stairs and every footstep on the stairs and in the room overhead made for a very broken poor night's sleep. I know hotels crank up room rates during trade shows but €195 for this room with such noise is not justifiable at any time.

Good location near the railway station and a short walk to the main shopping areas. Very good breakfast, friendly staff. Simple but nice room. No coffee machine in the room

Hotel is located very close to Düsseldorf Haupbannhoff. Free internet wi-fi. Good breackfast. I was given a large double room though had booked a single room. Hotel staff very friendly. Rooms could be cleaner. Hotel rooms should be renewed. Had to pay an extremely high price due an international trade fair.

I have stayed in this hotel every time when I am arriving to Dusseldorf (6 times). Warm friendly atmosphere, attentive stuff, excellent breakfast and many different things - there is a visiting card of this hotel. So, my advice for the travelers - this is the best budget hotel in Dusseldorf.

Gook breakfast. Room was spacious and quiet. Staff was very friendly and willing to help. The location was also convenient, although close to the main station (not a nice area), but the street was quiet, walking distance from restaurants, old city, Königsallee, etc. Also good connections to public transportation. Room was poorly clean. Bathroom was dirty, carpet and furniture heavily dusty. Also the bathroom was very small compared to the size of the room. Sink was partially blocked. Elevator too small for a stroller, we had to carry it using the stairs.

The staff is very helpful and welcoming. We had a flat instead of a room, which was a very nice suprise. It was located on the top of the building !! We were fully independent and we even had a small terrasse with a coupld of deck chairs ! Perfect ! The location was perfect too, very close to the central railway station and 15 minutes walking from the city center.

Hotel Alt Graz is just far enough from the station to be outside the tacky area which is typical of the surroundings of a Hauptbahnhof. A vigorous five minutes walk - which took me past a smelly hot-dog stall and several folk sitting on the pavement in a dense cloud of cannabis smoke - brings the visitor to the quiet and pleasant part of town where the hotel stands.

A very attentive staff, eager to please and always helpful. Good breakfast buffet and staff made some great suggestions for local restaurants. Spotty internet connection - but staff worked hard to correct problem for me!

The staff were very pleasant, easy going and helpful. We liked the room, free wifi and the breakfast and the Disappointing that the only tv channel in English was CNN, only so much news you can take!. Even English programmes were dubbed in German.

Hotel staff is so nice. My room at top floor is very large and the room was so clean. Hotel location is also nice, close to the central station, and easy to access Japanese area. Recommend to stay especially for Japanese!

The staff were the friendliest I have ever come across and helped us tremendously with our language barrier and any other service we required. The hotel is only 5 mins walk to the central railway station, information centre and restaurants/cafes. Our apartment was not ultra modern but it was very comfortable and clean - it suited our purpose very well and the room rate for a penthouse apartment was excellent. Breakfast (included in room cost) was well catered and we had free internet. We were extremely happy with our choice and would not hesitate in staying there again. There is no elevator but we didn't have to carry our own cases, the staff did that for us.

Hotel ideally situated near main train station. Very friendly and attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble. Very good choice of breakfast in delightful dining room. Four poster bed was a surprise, but very comfortable. Glad of use of hotel umberellas when raining. Quiet at night, whilst set in heart of City. Would definitely visit again and would recommend it to others. Shame no tea-making facilities in bedrooms, however staff were very obliging with a pot of tea should we have asked.

the staff were friendly, our rooms were clean, breakfast to my opinion was perfect and it's around 5 minutes walk from central train station. we had to use the steps to carry our baggages to our rooms, some of steps and the ground of one of our rooms were noisy.

The convenient location and the pleasant room were important for me. The included Internet access was also very useful. The neighborhood isn't particularly lively--you have to walk a ways to find a restaurant. Because the hotel is convenient to the Hauptbahnhof, it is also convenient to public transportation within Düsseldorf.
