AltstadtHotel an der Werra  

Of the twenty-one hotels in which we stayed (including two 5-star) this was, perhaps, the most charming. The host could not have been friendlier (he was the only host who shook my hand!) The person who cleaned our room showed a pride in her work which was deserved. The room was comodious and immaculate. The street was quiet and the access to town (if one has a gps) is easy and quick.The decor and colour scheme was bright and friendly.

The one thing I would offer is that when returning at night, there is no light by the front door to facilitate putting the key in the door. A lignt sensor would make that much easier. There was some street noise because thet had started some street improvements that morning--but that is not the hotel's fault!

A very excellent small hotel managed personally by the owner. Absolutely the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. We had a very nice large room. A quiet location within walking distance to a couple of restaurants and small supermarket. The nice breakfast buffet was well presented. Bicycles are available for daily rental. Parking was on site. The owner was helpful and obliging with regard to tourist activities and directions. Definitely would stay there again if in the area

This hotel has an excellent location, just outside of the central town area, convenient yet quiet. The service is excellent, and the breakfast buffet is certainly enough to get the day started right. Another great feature is the free wi-fi. The connection here was better than anywhere I have stayed to-date. I used it for a video conference, and it was simple and fast.

Entgegen der Bezeichnung liegt das rel. Neue Hotel am Rande der Altstadt. Gehzeit knappe 10 Min. Zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Service sehr zuvor- kommend und freundlich, persönlich. Zimmer sehr großzügig U. ruhig.

Gutes Hotel mit sehr feundlichen Personal !

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr günstig, da man die Stadtmitte innerhalb weniger Minuten per Fuß erreicht.Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich und es wurde immer für Nachschub gesorgt! Aber bitte beachten, dass nur Frühstück angeboten wird, und am Abend keine Gastronomie geboten wird! Dies ist aber kein Problem, da es in Meiningen reichlich Gaststätten und Bars gibt.

Besuch der Sommerfestspiele "Jedermann"

Das Hotel lag nahe der Altstadt, diese war einfach und schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Begrüßung war angenehm und herzlich. Das Hotelzimmer ist in hellen freundlichen Farben gehalten. Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ keine Wünsche offen. Insgesamt sehr positiv.
