The Black forest has clearly gone out of fashion for tourists as everywhere was really quiet even in August. We enjoyed the walking and a couple of facilities for children. The village is very quiet with a few restaurants and guest houses but no tourist shops!

Unfortunately a dying city - many places shut down, no supermarkets in the town, just a small grocery store, what a pity! Impossible to access e-mails since there is no data connection, even for phone network connection at some places in Enzklösterle there is no coverage!!

I highly recommend Enzkloesterle for a relaxing getaway with your family, children, or even pets. The area is beautiful in a quaint town in the Black Forest, with hiking and bike trails, beautiful streams and natural springs all over. If you love the mountains, deep forests and streams, with an ambiance that is cozy and not overly touristic- this is perfect for you. It is probably even better during their blueberry season in July- but we found it great for a weekend in April. Our children enjoyed hiking, playgrounds, swimming in thermal baths, riding on a giant bobsled slide (riesenrutschbahn), and realxing as a family enjoying nature.
The hotel provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay. There was a good shower, large bed, ventilated room and it was very clean. Breakfast was included. The staff were friendly and efficient and the manager kindly provided details of local cycling trails when he found out that was why I had come to the area. There was also a complimentary bus pass included which allowed travel to the towns of Bad Wildbad and Höfen an der Enz. I have added a couple of photos from an area above the hotel/village.
very easygoing vibe in the hotel, the friendly dog "mouse" is adding to a homey feel. The village and surroundings are quiet and green, and exciting hikes can start from the hotel. The owners are very hospitable and the food is good, since everything is freshly made. Breakfast buffet is all you need before a day of hiking!
We stayed in a 3 room apartment (ground floor). The living area was exceptionally big with a Billard and Table Football. We were 3 families and we could spent the whole time in the living space. It was 31st night and the hotel also organized a 15 min fireworks show that was excellent.
Beautiful location, very clean room, great bed, good breakfast buffet and friendly hotel-owners! You can also eat dinner at the restaurant of the hotel, and I can recommend that. To food is very tasty!
Conveniently located in the middle of the town, right across a good bakery.
Walking paths start from the village center and allow for exploration directly from the hotel.
