Visit the nearby islands of Usedome and Rügen or explore Müritz national park. History enthusiasts can pay a visit to the cities of Neubrandenburg, Greifswald and Stralsund or Klempenow, Stargard and Penzlin Castle. In Ivenack, a village 20 km from Altentreptow, you can admire giant 1000 year old oaks – the largest of which has a girth of 11 metres.
