Hotel-Maison Am Olivaer Platz  

The rooms were well decorated with antique-like furnishings and a neutral decor. Free wi-fi was great. Breakfast was decent. Parking a bit complex but not expensive.It was close to a nice shopping area.

Extremely noisy-it is an old building and not sound-proof. We did not sleep well as we were put right by the entry and heard people coming and going at all hours. ALso, the hotel was exceedingly difficult to find (even with GPS in our car)as the sign is tiny. We phoned hotel staff and they could barely be understood to give directions (poor English). When we arrived, we were buzzed into a dark hallway and had to find our way up 3 flights of stairs in the dark- no one had turned on the lights. The hotel is on floor 3, but on the first floor is a bar called "Klo" (means toilet in German) and the 2nd floor is a BORDELLO called Monrouge. Seriouly creepy neighbors in the building, not a great place for a family. The price was good, but I would pay more for decent sleep and better neighbor. Also, there was no safe in the room so we had to carry our electronics with us all day.

The staff was friendly. The building felt authentically old-world Berlin. Convenient to get to many public transportation choices. The shower was fantastic with the rainfall shower head.

It has a bar/club below it called "Klo" which was a crass sort of place to have to come home to. Our room was directly across from the front desk which meant we kept hearing the buzzer for the door ring. The staff was never able to get our sink to drain.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very close to restaurants and underground.

Tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice.

Rather small and old fashioned but with atmosphere. The breakfast was very nice. Hotel staff were helpful but not overly. Good connection to the S-Bahn and U-Bahn. Just a few streets away from the hotel were nice, local terrace cafes or you could choose to go to the more expensive and busy shopping streets on the Kurfurstendamm

If the windows were open the street traffic was rather loud in the morning.

the bathroom was exceptionally clean and the shower excellent.Staff were very friendly and spoke good english.I was checking out late and it wasnt a problem for me to do so.The room was very big and ideal.Checking in and checking out was very straight forward as they debit your card beforehand.Breakfast was very good indeed and is included in the price.Very impressed and would certainly return

One of the curtains was not in good condition and people could see in.There was no safe in the room.

Good choice during breakfast and design of the room. Staff was very friendly, flexible and spoke russian even though it was not necessary.You feel yourself there like at home!

The bathroom was a bit dated / No tea/coffee facilities in the room.walls were a bit too thin

Zentrale Lage mit guter S-und U-Bahn Anbindung, Zimmer sauber,

Platz im Frühstücksraum sehr begrenzt. Bad für ein 4-Bett Zimmer zu klein (Keine Handtuchhalter) TV-Fernbedienung = ohne Funktion.

Sauber, sehr schönes Zimmer, zentrale Lage, direkte Busverbindung zum Flughafen Tegel

Kneipe direkt unter dem Hotel, war Nachts etwas laut

номер не тянет на категорию ***. за 80 евро в германии это не то качество, которое я ожидала. страшное изношенное напольное покрытие в дырках. освещение в номере такое, что мы не могли рассмотреть во что мы одеты вечером. умывальник почему-то забился сразу же как мы включили воду почистить зубы. я уже чистила зубы в душе. вода не ушла до утра. так и стоял полный умывальник грязной воды. сказать об этом вечером было некому, потому что ресепшн уходит в 22:00. душевая комната (вместе с туалетом) малюсенькая, душ старый, кафель старый, кое-где в душе внизу ржавчина или не знаю , что-то темное. рассмотреть было сложно. завтрак обычный. окно не выходила на проезжую улицу, было достаточно тихо. ни девушек легкого поведения, ни гомосексуалистов мы не заметили. может нам не повезло.-)

Die zentrale Lage war das Hauptkriterium für die Wahl des Hotels. Zur U-Bahn Adenauerplatz geht man etwa 10min., Zur Uhlandstrasse eher 15min.. Im direkten Umfeld um das Hotel gibt es viele Gaststätten und Geschäfte. Die Wilmersdorfer Strasse ist auch nur 10min. Zu Fuß entfernt. Auf dem Kurfürsten Damm ist man in 3min.. Ein Parkhaus (15€ pro Tag) liegt genau gegenüber und man bekommt für 6€ pro Tag eine Parkvignette vom Hotel. Natürlich muss man nach freuen Parkplätzen etwas suchen.

Wir waren mit unserem 10-jährigen Sohn in Berlin, deshalb ein paar Worte der Kritik. Das Hotel liegt genau über einem Edelpuff, von dem man allerdings nur Musik hörte. Mich hat das nicht so gestört aber ein kleiner Junge muss das nicht unbedingt mitkriegen. Wie gesagt, ich hätte für eine Familienreise vielleicht doch ein anderes Hotel gewählt, was aber nicht die Qualität des Hotels direkt betrifft. OK, das dritte Bett war recht ungequem.
