Directly in the centre of the city so good for sightseeing. comfotable room and large bathroom with walk in shower.

Finding the hotel by car was a problem as it is in the middle of a pedestrian area. We parked outside the centre and walked to the hotel to get specific instructions of how to get to the underground car park which is in a different street from the hotel.

The entry of the Hotel is just in the commercial gallery. You need to go inside.

Best breakfast ever. Location is excellent. Our room was't spacious but clean, good light, heater working well, very good bathroom. We saw the other comments on the noise of the church bells early in the morning, but decided to try anyway and, for us, it wasn't that bad.

You could expect more of a WIFI connection 2012. Poor speed and low reliability. When there on business this is of utmost importance and should be very easy to upgrade.

Hotel position in the centre of Freiburg. Polite and friendly staff. Cleanliness of the room. Breakfast is quite fine.

The price of the hotel (quite expensive). The TV in the room transmits only TV stations in German language.

Excellent location. Coffee and tea at the reception is a very nice option Church bells was not a disturbance at all.

Location, service, home-like atmosphere, breackfast

The breakfast was the best part, but we really enjoyed almost everything about it. Great downtown location. Pleasant staff who even packed up a small breakfast for us when we had to check out early. Comfortable beds and spacious room/bathroom. We stayed in a "family room" style room which has three total beds - two pushed together.

We loved the location, but of course it could be a bit loud at night, which was expected.

You completely trust us with just one key. We could get in and out totally depend on us. Only thing we preferred was if you had ventilation in the bathroom a little bit stronger, it could have been a little easier. I thought I should come with PC computer, not Macbook computer to Germany. I could not print out from Macbook in the hotel. Even most of the speakers used Macbook air for the talk, we could not print out through Macbook even in the conference place. I will come next time to Germany only with PC computer.

Some times we needed to come one person to rest at the hotel. But we realized that one key only was the simplest not to loose it, because my husband kept the key into his main key holder and never took it out. That's why we never lost the key. Perhaps this was the best way to control.

The staff were most helpful. Nearly all spoke very good English though I attempted most conversations in German they were most obliged to switch to English when I got stuck.

Excellent location. Breakfast very good choice. Coffee and tea available at reception plus free internet access.

Very uncomfortable bed. No lift to top floor - not a problem for us but could be if have difficulty walking/carrying cases.

This place is a highly functioning small hotel with a great and welcoming staff that puts on a fine breakfast and keeps the place both interesting and up to date.

Street noise can be a problem on garbage pick-up days.
