Hotel am Scheunenviertel

First of all the Hotel has excellent location, you can walk to almost all major sightseeings. Hotel staff was friendly and spoke english. The breakfast was really rich, I did not expect to have that kind of breakfast ;) My overall experience is very good with this hotel and I would recommend it to everyone who is willing to explore the city.

Loved the location, especially as I did a bit of guess work on the internet booking. Exactly where we wanted to be. Staff so helpful. Ability to rent bicycles from the hotel a real plus for us.

Tiny room, not even space to leave an open suitcase on floor. Receptionist had no information on highly advertised Berlin WelcomeCard. Little English.

Excellent central location, quirky area full of character, lots of bars and restaurants, easy to get to all places of interest. We intend to go back to Berlin and will stay there again.

This is actually a red light area so don't stay here if you'll be offended by the presence of prostitutes strolling up and down the street (although it's done in a very orderly way and everyone else just seems to get on with the business of eating/drinking/shopping without batting an eye lid).

I was very impressed - it was very reasonably priced including breakfast and the location was great. So many places to choose for dinner right outside the hotel. The staff were extremely accommodating. Would recommend as a great budget place to stay.

Excellent location, within walking distance of several museums and places of interest. Close to 2 metro stations and the main railway station. Very good breakfast. Very helpful staff. Quiet atmosphere in an interesting and busy area. We would have liked to have had real expresso coffee at breakfast

I like the hotel very much and have stayed often there. It is very handy as a tourist hotel

We felt this time it was a little expensive. I had to stay in a hotel in Fasanenstrasse for my business and I only had to pay 15 euro more for a much bigger room and a lot of facilities.

Great location, lots of restaurants in both directions on Oranienburgerstr., good bar across the street, 10 minute walk to Hackesche Hoefe and even more restaurants and nightlife.

Hotel is completely unattended after 6pm (but guests get an outside door key). As long as you're comfortable with that, fine. Be careful opening the outside door to avoid crushing your fingers...ouch.

Good staff. No problem with speaking in English.

The hotel is located in a central place. Lot of places nearby to go at night, and a U-bahn station only a few meters from the hotel.

The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was served in a pleasant room. The hotel is also conveniently close to an U stop and a S station which made transportation around the city easy.

The location of this hotel in the red light district made me, as a single woman, uncomfortable walking around at night. The nearby bars were noisy in the evening.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Centrally located in Berlin. Access to public transport was right there. It was great. I would stay there again. The continental breakfast was excellent.
