The extremely chic design hotel Am Stadtgarten is one of the most sought-after hotels in the city centre of Freiburg. It is situated near the city park and yet amidst the town centre, an architectural highlight in excellent location.
In only 2 walking minutes you reach the pedestrian zone. Cool optics and hightech solutions from roof to bottom.

Food & beverage

On weekdays, we serve a comprehensive breakfast buffet between 07:00am and 10:30am. On weekends and on bank holidays, breakfast is served between 07:30am and 11:00am.
Our Cafa© Bar which is located opposite the guesthouse is open since April 2007.

Room information

The rooms in our design hotel are distributed over 4 floors and are up to 35m² in size. Their functionality, warm atmosphere and modern technology are sure to fulfil even the highest demands of business travellers, private guests, groups and trade fair visitors.

The 35 spacious rooms in our guesthouse also occupy 4 floors and are up to 30m² in size. Some rooms are fitted with a balcony. The modern blue, orange, yellow and green hues provide a cheerful atmosphere.

Area information

The extensive network of cycle paths and traffic-calmed city centre invite you to explore Freiburg and its picturesque surroundings by bicycle. Make use of our bicycle rental service (EUR 9 per day) and get peddling!

Alongside its famous monuments and important history, Freiburg has many hidden treasures. To really get to know the city, why not let us organise an individual and professional guided tour for you?

The Stadtgarten, one of Freiburg’s many parks, is located just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. During the summer, concerts and plays are performed on the open-air stage here. A cable car takes you up to the Schlossberg. The lively Karlsteg bridge connects the park to the Old Town.

Our hotel is of 4-star standard, while our guesthouse has been awarded 3 stars.

Parking: private parking lots are available for surcharge and with prior reservation in our underground car parl.

Internet: WLAN is available in our designhotel and for surcharge. In the guesthouse WLAN via hotspot (Deutsche Telecom) is avaiable, additional costs apply.

The breakfast was excellent.

We were staying in the annexe. The room was on the top floor - no lift. The room for two was only suitable for one person, therefore very small. It had its own boiler which only supplied enough hot water for one person's shower at a time and so needing a good half hour to reheat the water. I would imagine that the rooms in the main part of the hotel, although more expensive would be much better.

It was lovely to roll out of the hotel and stroll five minutes to the Cathedral and its marvelous outdoor market - never thought I would find fresh mushrooms photogenic

can't remember reviews but this hotel is clearly a winner - I did not find anything negative.

Visit titisee baden baden and triburg

The is no bell capten to help for bags at the hotel and room is very
samll .in the bath room there should be shower cap.

Very friendly and helpful staff, conveniently located within walking distance to city center, clean & nice rooms (stayed in guesthouse), loved the breakfast buffet & the food & ambience at the hotel's restaurant "Vis-a-Vis". Very recommendable!

Spaciousness of the room was very good and I was very happy that the
window opened. Fortunately the hotel provided a fan.

The lack of air conditioning was especially difficult. It was very warm
and no indication when booking this hotel that is was not air
conditioned. Our room was first floor guesthouse facing the street and
hotel lobby. Only sheer curtains covered the large window leaving no
privacy. We had to leave this window open at night due to heat - not
secure, private, or comfortable.

Good breakfast, within walking distance of the old town, quiet location, almost brand new. We'd definitely stay there again.

Even though we requested a non-smoking room, we were given a very smokey smelling room. But when we asked, we were given another room straight away.
