A 2-minute walk takes you to the Stadtgarten park, where open-air concerts and plays take place during the summer. From here, you can cross over the lively Karlsteg bridge to reach the Old Town. Be You can take the cable car up to the Schlossberg castle.

Travel information

Arriving from Karlsruhe:
- Take the Freiburg-Nord motorway exit, and continue towards Stadtmitte (city centre) and Siegesdenkmal (victory monument).

Arriving from Basel:
- Take the Freiburg-Mitte motorway exit, and continue towards Stadtmitte (city centre) via Werder-Rotteck-Ring and Leopoldring, until you reach Karlstraße

Arriving from Titisee-Neustadt:
- Approach via the Schloßberg-Ring until you reach Karlstraße

From the main railway station:
- Take tram numbers 1, 2 or 5 as far as Bertoldsbrunnen, and from here change to line 2 until you reach the Siegesdenkmal station
