An excellent location on the edge of the beautiful city of Weimar. We could walk everywhere very easily but the hotel was quiet and the room was large and comfortable.

The service was outstanding. Breakfast was served thoughout the morning which made planning one's morning schedule easy. The cleaning staff was friendly and polite.

Good service, very rustic hotel with old-style but tastefully decorated rooms. The included buffet breakfast was good. Free parking is available. The hotel is very closed to the town center (5 mins or less). The internet is free, but only available in the ground floor - it would be nice to extend it to other stories as well.

Great staff and good to get parking in this city. There is no bar in the hotel but they have some at receiption and a room to relax in. (Also bar just 100 metres away.

Easy to get to, parking was provided, excellent breakfast, crispy sheets and the staff were very friendly. No Wifi on the 3rd floor (but they provided a cable), the extra bed wasn't very comfortable.

The Amalienhof Hotel was perfect for our weekend sightseeing trip to Weimar. The facilities, staff and breakfast were excellent in every way. We would recommend it for others. There also seemed to be many people there for business, too.

The hotel is in a good position close to the Goethe house. It has many good facilities such as parking and an excellent breakfast room, and roof bar. The bathroom in our lovely room became flooded so we had to move to a much smaller room. It was a disappointment, but we did experience some discomfort until we changed rooms.

Location and parking convenience The kitchen in the apartment is quite old fashioned and not so well equipped. The room is also decorated without any taste, which is very different from the pics shown here.

Breakfast The triple room was insulting. The 'third bed' was the sofa in the room with a sheet put over it. It was not a bed - the sofa armrest meant you were upright and your feet hung over the end of the sofa. The hotel should not advertise a charge for a triple room, when in fact the room is a double room with a sofa.

The staff were unfailing friendly and helpful. My room was large and very nicely equipped, and the breakfast was good. They have a lovely roof-top deck for sitting and reading, and the hotel is located close to everything in the "old town" of Weimar.

The Amalienhof location is very good and makes it easy to walk to many attractions. However, this location is also noisy and next to a student dormitory. The bathroom was clean and functional but too tiny, one hits things while moving around. We would not return.

This is a wonderful hotel, more beautiful than the pictures can even show. The rooms are very elegantly appointed, bathrooms are new and immaculate. The staff is terrific, helpful with finding directions, phoning taxis. The breakfast was candlelit (a first for me) and very lovely in general. In terms of location, you really cannot do any better.

Staff went out of the way to make sure the family was accommodated - ground floor apartment, good for the pram, plus a big stuffed toy for our daughter during her stay. Also very accommodating in the breakfast room.
