Location is good. Not far from a main station with easy connections to airports. All the main central city attractions are within walking distance. The room was simple and comforable and more than acceptable for a few days city break It is unfair to say that we did not like the breakfast, it was basic but good enough to get you started. There were plenty of places to eat in Berlin to top yourself up during the day especially in the Xmas markets which was the main focus of our trip. However Berlin is very interesting and worthy of another visit and we would use this hotel again. Being typically british I am afraid tea making facilities in the room would have been nice. |

I liked everything :-) Staff is friendly and nice, everything is clean, buffet continental breakfast is quite OK, and the rooms are very well presented. It's actually a flat or two made hotel rooms, ours was a triple and it was like a mini-flat, one single bedroom, one double, the aisle, the bathroom. Shower gel dispenser, a bathrobe for each person... The area is quiet, good, 2 min to the Friedrichshafen S+U station, about 10 min of nice strolling to the Brandenburger Tor... Breakfast starts at 8, maybe a bit late for some people. |

Good convenient location; good, plentiful breakfast; very clean. very helpful staff. No carpets, having to go outside to get to breakfast/reception area, price seemed good on internet, but rooms and hotel was more basic than expected for €50 per person per night. More like a 'motel'. Not cosy! Rooms small for price, we thought. |

Convenience for sightseeing and shops in central Berlin. Easy access to trains, underground and airport. Staff were helpful. Provision of breakfast and afternoon tea in price made it good value compared with others. You have to go outside to get to reception/breakfast room. |

This a small hotel in the old East Berlin Section which gave it an romantic feel. Food, room, location and value are all excellent. I would recommend it to anyone and will be back to stay here again. Not a complaint but if they could organise a trip around the overground bunker opposite, it would have made my day! |

Breakfast was available before 8 (promised 8 to 10). Subway bar just next doors. TV was too small. Internet access cost 5€ per day. |

We liked in particular the central location, i.e. close to the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag and all areas around them. For our benefit, the 36th Berlin Marathon came right past the hotel. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Room was clean. The only thing we found slightly missing was a friendly reception since the reception staff were mainly students who spoke either German or English rather poorly. The proprietor seems to be Russian and has very little command of German. We did not try English. |

The location was excellent for a city trip; the city center was in walking distance and also access to public transport was good. Nice hotel in this price category! The room was a little bit noisy (you could hear everything from the corridor). |

Its proximity to great shopping area and Berlin Wall where there are plenty of beautiful historical buildings. For its price, we couldn't ask for more. It's value for money. |

Everything was efficiently provided, unpretentious, clean and well designed. The hotel arrangements seemed a little unusual but I suspect arose from a careful re-design and re-furbishment, within limitations, of a former East Berlin residential block. This provided some individualism which, coupled with the efficient staff structure, I felt was good. On the first night it was raining heavily and I became very aware of a heavy rain run off/dripping into the courtyard. |
